We wouldn't be throwing mud pies like two year olds.
That's for damn sure.

1) God, I wish the band was back together again!
2) When do you think they'll get back together again?
3) I heard Neal and Jon were talking to Perry about getting together again!
4) I heard the band is thinking of getting together again and recording!

Their place in music history wouldn't be tarnished like it is now. Augeri would be able to leave the house. Neal would be in 6 bands...all at once. Ross would be bankrupt....again. All speculation of course.

Hmmm...kinda sounds like the daily chatter over on the official Genesis forum for the last two years (or more), lol. Thank god THOSE guys are finally gonna do "the R thing"...

I doubt album sales would still be the same. The 2001 DVD was a big success and I would bet that it really helped sell the back catalogue.

Me too.
I doubt that the touring for the last 8 years has played a very large part in promoting the sales of the catalog. It was the hype for TBF and the reunion that started that ball rolling and continuing radio play helped keep it going. The use of DSB in Monster and the publicity surrounding Perry's involvement stirred some renewed interest. Then they used some of the music on some TV programs. I'm sure last year's World Series helped too. All of that reached a lot more people than the concerts did. In fact, it may be the other way around, as in renewed interest in the music promoting tickets sales for the concerts.

Touring pushes catalog sales. Not that TBF, World Series, Monster, Laguana Beach, Car commercials, etc didn't also....but this band is OUT there. People do buy CD's of bands they like in concert...or to familiarize themselves pre-concert. I was reading 40+ million in the mid 90's, and now I'm seeing 75+ million.....
