Depends on your perspective I suppose, some people seem to think it will happen with an announcement in November.

Again, it's just a guess on my part but, I have a suspicion that Andrew would've stayed up for 4 days straight to transcribe and post all his info if he were allowed to post it anytime he wanted; these seem to be 'Mother-of-All Journey Interviews. Again, I am only guessing but, I think Drew promised to keep hush until the band gives him the green-light. Then they will graciously let him break the scoop with his monster story and will put an Official Statement on the Official Site. Drew has always been VERY supportive and faithful to the band and I think they trust him alot.
Remember, Drew said he hoped to have everything posted by mid-November...

Yes, it does... it won't be released until the tour ends. IMO just makes more sense that way...

Neal and Jon BOTH auditioned him and BOTH felt he was capable and since 1998 he's proven himself capable. Even the great and respected Herbie Herbert told the story of how he saw SA in concert and recognized that he embraced the songs as his own. Considering how many hit records these guys have had compared to how many you've had I'd have to say that they're the better judges.

I just don't understand the constant and intense disdain spewed at SA. The compulsion to berate the man and his time with JOURNEY is beyond me.

It was Herbie who had the keen judgment to select Perry.

Even the great and respected Herbie Herbert told the story of how he saw SA in concert and recognized that he embraced the songs as his own.

He also went on to say that Augeri is "disadvantaged in the talent department" and that he would've re-managed the band if they had chose Kevin Chalfant, "a considerable better singer than Augeri."

Considering how many hit records these guys have had compared to how many you've had I'd have to say that they're the better judges.

I'm just saying that Azoff's tactical line of approach regarding Augeri is mums the word!
