Are you fucking nuts??? When Perry comes back??? Have you been living under a rock for the past 10 years? Steve Perry will NEVER perform with Journey again, and may very well never perform again, period. He isn't getting any younger, and he has seemed quite content to be retired from the lead singing business. The guy has the best of all worlds. From all accounts, he's always been the best guy in Journey when it comes to managing his money. He is still getting money from the existing incarnation of Journey while he sits back and takes it easy. There is obviously still a great deal of animosity between Perry and the other guys in Journey and a whole lot of hurt feelings on both sides of the fence. While I think it's truly tragic that guys who were once such close friends haven't talked to each other in years...it is what it is. You can keep living in your dream world, but some day reality will kick you in the ass. Perhaps when it's 20 years and not just only 10 you'll realize that Perry simply has no interest in being the lead singer of Journey any longer.
John from BostonJohn
I may be nuts but let me tell you
Perry has a way of pulling off the unexpected thats his gig
Did you or anyone else think he was showing up at the Walk Of Fame?
I do not give a rats ass ( what ever that means ) what anyone say' s even Perry.
One day he is going to wake up and say this is it Im going to give my fans-Journey fans a final concert with the band
I will bet anyone he sings with JRNY even if its 1 song 1 concert 1 cd
Something is going to happen and its going to happen soon
Thats why I call on Jeff to not get to hyped up on being the next JRNY star they fizzle out just like Augeri did
You can only copy Perry for so long before it gets old
Let Perry finish this off .
Its time to push the positive vibes in his direction not JSS<
Off to Yoga back later.

Augeri mentions Boca many times so thats were it was filmed.

EXACTLY
Jeff brings "Street Cred" back to this band. He brings a swagger and "I'm gonna knock you on your ass" attitude to the stage that Augeri never could.
In the studio, Augeri did some great work. On stage, he never excited me.
strungout wrote: Saying that, I'm not ruling out he'll never join them on stage again for a one-of thing. Who knows feelings could change down the road....with JSS's healthy respect of the man, JSS & SP having contact before, and SP liking JSS's voice enough to buy one of his CDs......ya never know.![]()
Do I believe Perry's done with the music biz or performing......nope, not at all. Do I think he's still got "it".....you bet. I totally agree with a statement made somewhere.....I'd take Perry at only 70% of the range he had over most other singers......cuz he still delivers the soul and emotion behind the song, IMO. It is not completely all about hitting Perry's notes....and that is where I think alot of Perry fans are coming on board with JSS.........he's got a spark of that passion/fire that Perry has.

I could be wrong I admit. But I do not remember Deen singing that show. & I remember more songs than that set list. I also remember hearing Precious Time in WPB in 04 & thinking that was the first time I heard Augeri sing it (& I remember b/c I hated Augeri's version & thought he should have left that one out). Could I be wrong? Sure I could. I'm old & fuzzy brained I admit. But I just don't remember the show that way. I didn't even drink that nite (rare for an Irish girl) as I went to the stage the minute I could & stayed there. After the show I went back to my seats & my husband had 1 very warm beer he'd been holding for me all nite.
Now U have the DVD & if it compares w/the set list u might be right & me way way wrong.
Can u upload the clips from the DVD please? I'd love to see it. Not to prove u wrong btw. I just have fond memories of that show.
