You guys wonder why LaRussa NEVER said anything? Hell, he is the last guy who can say anything about cheating. He looked the other way when McRoids, err, McGwire roided up so much his eyeballs nearly popped out of his dome.

Usage was so prevalent that coaches, managers, gm's...everyone up to the commissioner had to know what was going on. Mr BS was ok with sweeping it under the rug while baseball recovered from the last strike and everyone benefitted ($) from the excitement the big home run years generated--until it became public knowledge. Congress has no more pressing matters than MLB? Wouldn't they have suspected the NFL too, if they're on a roid crusade? No that a couple of NFL guys have tested positive, I wonder if we'll be seeing smaller players in the future.....I hope this doesn't come across like I'm excusing LaRussa or the players.

I respect them a lot more now. I'm not sure their manger or wallets do however.
