Mindy and I got to Canal Street with a cab driver who was mumbling constantly in Turkish.
Either he had a Blue Tooth thingy and was talking to his gang, either he wanned to share with us the story of his f-ed up life, but we were too busy fantasizing about Hugo.... Sorry,Kamir.

The club.
Pretty crowded and obviously,as we were going to notice, there were a lot of Journey fans there.
Some sang the lyrics to a T.

Nice stage setup, good sound system and the best part was that Mindy and I
(along with Mary which came to meet us and to see the show) ended up very close to the stage. And I mean very close.

The show.
First,we had to overcome the shock.I mean Hugo is so Steve Perry-ish,our jaws dropped.
To better describe it,I had the feeling that Steve Perry's pics from 1982 came to life in front of my eyes.Hell,it was 1982 again and Perry was singing Open Arms.

Amazing.
To be honest,I was shameless.I took something like 90 pics of Hugo and he noticed...LOL
Ok,we also touched.

Mindy got lucky once, but for some reason I think she wanned to be on the right side.

The guitar player (sorry M,I had to tell..

So Mindy and I had some great visuals.Te-he-he...
The band sounded very good,Hugo was in a great vocal shape so I gotta say he nailed Mother Father!Loved it!
The keyboard player did a good job singing Rolie's parts on Feeling That Way/Anytime,Faithfully was beautiful, the crowd sang it loud and clear...
I loved BGTY and AWYW to pieces and really enjoyed the fact that Hugo did I'll Be Alright Without You just like Perry sang it on the GH DVD.Love the improvisation toward the end of the song.
Hugo was really great with the people and soon the show turned into a Journey party! It was really great!
The only dissapointment was that they played only one set, something like an hour and a half maybe.
We thought they would have a second set after the intermission, but sadly,a DJ took over the night.

We couldn't leave without meeting Hugo,um....ya know?
I managed to get him out for a quick chat and some pics.Don't ask.

He was very sweet and cool... and honestly, seeing him up close was amazing.
Not only he looks like the 1982 Perry, but he looks fantastic for his real age...Hugo is in his mid 40s.

So here are a few pics, the ones that were not blurry, lol, then the one with me(I think I need plastic surgery to remove that I-love-Hugo-holding-me grin off of my face)

Don't ask me,ask her.

All in all we had a GREAT time!
