G'Day from London

Postby Andrew » Mon Oct 30, 2006 4:40 am

Just a quick hello from Old Blighty.

Holed up in London before flying home tomorrow (although that trip will take some 30 hours).

Had a great time in Nottingham and had the great pleasure of meeting and hanging with Bionic - cheers mate for a good laugh.

Also met the lovely Joybringer and a few other lurkers and posters - fabulous to meet you all and thanks for saying howdy.

Will be working a little on the Journey stuff tonight to ensure it is on time for posting soon.

Off to get a curry then back to work.

Nottingham? You lot should have been in Edinburgh last night. Frankensteins did a great night for halloween.

Everyone on here's lucky I don't have net access in my flat cos when I rolled in at 3am I was in a less than sober state.

There are worse places than London.

I'd love to see Deano's face if he saw somewhere like Kinlochleven.

Here's Andrew at Firefest, proudly sporting his Journey shirt. He's a real sweetheart, a genuinely nice man and, as I told him, much better looking in real life than in his photos.

I did pin him to the wall to get the scoop but as he was so nice, it doesn't seem right to say anything other than it's what we're all expecting to hear.

I did ask him what the legendary Rockindeano is like in real life and apparently he's exactly the same as he is here. A big man with a big heart and a big mouth :P

Lovely to meet you Andrew, have a safe trip home.

Drew looks my auntie's hubby (I don't call him my uncle cos I don't know him well enough to do that), Ray's hair looks like Neal's used to and Cetera looks a bit like a guy my ex-flatmate went out with.

Bionic, you and your girlfriend had a drink in the bar of the Crowne Plaza on Saturday before the gig. I was sitting alone on a sofa nearby with my specs on reading the newspaper. I knew your face was familiar but I had no idea where from. I've obviously seen a photo of you before and recognised you from that.

At risk of revealing myself as the stereotypical uncultured westerner, is anyone else equally as dumbfucked as to what "getting a curry" is?

Is that like smoking a faggot?
