Not too far off.

So then what is it, really...?

I love the damn songs. Loved them when Perry did them originally. I was happy when Journey re-grouped in 98. And I just want to hear the fucking songs live! Perry, Augeri, Castronovo, Soto - it is all cool with me!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hope that makes some sense.

Absolutely, but why all the hostility???

I'm sure AR is just having a laugh winding up over-sensitive Loons like me....but to be honest...sometimes I get totally pissed off with Perry too...even though I instinctively take his side in almost every debate about Journey.

Two albums in twenty years is a waste of his incredible talent...it can't be denied...and the cat and mouse guessing game he plays with his fans can get frustrating.

Maybe he genuinely hasn't decided whether or not he's coming back - but I do think an anouncement of a decision is long overdue. If he's retired, then just issue a press release. If he's making a comeback then just...come back.

I know he owes us nothing and he's given us several classic albums already..and I'm sure we've all got bigger things to worry about so it's not that much of a big deal....but it would be depressing if the guy had decided to retire eight years ago and has strung his die-hard fan base along all this time.

I don't know if I've ever been 'pissed off' at him, but I certainly understand the frustration. I agree with everything you've said. I guess "shit or get off the pot" is appropriate in this case. I guess my question is...who would actually want Steve Perry to sing with Journey again? And if you had to choose between one Journey/Steve Perry tour or many more years of mediocre Journey (don't get me wrong, NOT what I'm expecting with JSS), what would you choose??????

I'd take one new Journey album with Perry...even without a tour...over anything they do without him.

But given that it isn't going to happen I'm trying to make the best of it...and I'm looking forward to the tour and new album next year.

Gee I thought all Augeri fans were over 400 lbs too according to some comments written here by certain individuals.

Does that mean skinny Journey fans only like JSS, but hate SP & SA?

& how could anyone say Perry is a fag? He had Sherrie.

Andrew,

Could you please add a warning on the Journey Forum that says that the verbal and pictorial content of this site is not suited for anyone 17 and under? Hate to say it, but I am particularly disgusted with some of the pics and a few certain words that have been allowed to be posted on here lately.

I'm not into censorship, but over the last few weeks it's become a little too vulgar.

Not trying to be a smart-*ss, but why would you need Andrew to post a warning when you already know that this forum can be "vulgar" at times?

Liz wasn't worrying so much about the pics/language until she realized that some young ones she knows saw some photos that probably isn't appropriate for them to see.

For that I can't blame her for being concerned. She comes across to me a nice person with class.

Then again, IMO a warning on the front page would only attract more young'ns to look and see, kinda like an explicit lyrics warning label on a CD.

Well, then she kind of has a point. This is currently the most relevant message board about Journey that exists, and we do want kids to be exposed to Journey. While parental responsibility ultimately trumps everything, not every kid has that.....so....maybe we could all just make sure we're not being too explicit. As far as F-bombs and titties go though....no biggie.

There is much worse stuff on most NFL fan message boards by far.

Just to be a tiny bit more specific on my comment.....the picture with the 'strap on' and a particular 'c' word that has been used lately was just a little bit tooooooooo much.

Like I said, I am against censorship and in no way mean to ruffle any feathers. Those 2 items were just a little bit more than I expected to see on here. No doubt you all are good guys...and I generally get a laugh out of what is posted here and I'm old enough to know when to turn my head and look the other way.

Peace to all,

FUCK YOU!

WTF AR???? Wisconsin??? Ahem, that's where I'm from, I don't weigh quite over 400!

Wisconsin fans have always supported Journey & Steve Perry. Journey's coming back here next month again.

Agree with you both! There are a few class-less people who post and bring this board down to very basic, animalmalistic, unfunny, post's of depravity that show a complete lack of character, morality, or intelligence. The lowest and easiest attempt at humor that's been done to death since grade school! Not funny....boooorrrriiinnnnggg!! What's sad are certain individual's total lack of respect shown for their wive's/ husband's and children. Their kid's may come through here someday and see how their parent's make fool's of themselve's. It's scary to think that these people are contributing to the gene pool! What really suck's is that these people are representing Journey fan's here.....embarassing as a fan of the band! :(
