That's why I said I know how you post. I really don't have a problem with it. But if you look at it from a newbie perspective it could be "difficult". And others are worse. As I said, you are all the things journeyroxx said, and you and I have had spirited conversations which certainly helped me "get" your posts. It was purely an 'example' that was fresh in my mind...

I've come to know TNC and Deano both as intelligent, rational people. I've enjoyed conversations with both of them on this board and in pms and I respect their points of view even if I don't agree with them. That being said:

Dave and Fred are absolutely right in the point they're trying to make. A discussion is no longer a discussion when it becomes all about slinging insults at the poster rather than making a point about the subject of the discussion. That being said:

I've finally, after suffering through many bouts of insults, come to realize that this the way it is here. I don't claim to understand why it is what it is, but I realize that it is.

Monker has even been right in a lot of things he's said about the state of things on this board. But if you're right against the grain you can be "dead right".

Bottom line guys, if we want to be here we have to be here and not somewhere that is what we would like this to be.

I also think the constant disrespect for women in general, and large women in particular, is annoying at best but most of the time, just insulting. But hey, that's the way it is here and if we don't like it I guess we can leave. Something keeps us here though.

Nothing that I've said in this post is in any way meant to be a reflection on Andrew. He's got a nearly impossible job in trying to moderate this board. I wouldn't have this part of his job even if it would make me rich, and I don't think he enjoys that benefit from all this. :wink:

Yep....I agree with this 100%! Nobody is forcing anyone to come here, read, and take part in this forum. I also believe that some posters take things waaaaay too seriously. If there are some here who are a little crass...well just don't read their posts. If you feel someone is incorrect in their post, state your opinion, but don't be so thin skinned that you can't take opposition.

If being passionate means spewing sewage all over the place, or vomiting in someone's face, then I guess I'd prefer to NOT be passionate. That said, I also realize that I am NOT as passionate about Journey as I was a year or so ago. They are becoming very passe and I don't hold out much hope for them. Too many changes and not enough substance...in the decisions they've made.
