When Steve is ready to talk - especially to promote the Tall Stories release - then I'm ready and waiting and he knows where to find me.

I think that's a great approach - please don't shy away from the tough questions though. Steve A. has done ALOT of good for the band, but I tend to agree with the notion, that we as long standing fans deserve an official response to this. Even if it's along the lines of 'Hey..that's show business' Nice to know where they stand.

It's also easy to absolve Steve of any wrongdoing and even the very basic functions of an independent free-thinking individual.

Even though it looks like you are correct...that has not been stated yet. I could give a rat's ass about the official word anymore, but FACT is there IS nothing on SA being fired yet, so I assume it is still safe to speculate on my part. After all, that is EXACTLY what you are doing too.

taking the fall for someone or multiple people isn't a good thing to do no matter if there was a gag order or not. I've done it, it's not a good thing to do for yourself, mentally. Granted I didn't sell over 75+ million album etc. nor front a very popular classic rock band, but the wear on you emotionally just sucks. If SA has no gag order to worry about, then he's killing himself mentally for taking the fall, and that is a very stupid thing to do in my opinion. People may not buy (many) his future products if they know anything about this shit that happened. And if they do, then that's their problem.

Then again, LOTS of people (here) swore they'd never buy another Journey CD or go to another concert, and many of them have in fact posted that they've gone to the concerts and enjoyed them, as well as not being able to wait for a new CD to come out. So go figure.

True to most of that, however I have expressed negative opinions about band decisions, disagreed with the official statement, criticized the site and read threads started BY the mods ANNOUNCING information on THIS site. Dave, we haven't always agreed on everything, but I've always respected your opinions and the way in which you express them.
