Guthy-Renker DVD is offering two volumes so far that have Journey content. Vol 1 - 1978 has Wheel in the Sky and Vol 1 - 1979 has Lovin Touchin Squeezin.

who? me who? I don't have a credit card, kid. Somewhere, I have this on VHS, but I have no clue which box it's in. I'd probably buy it though.

I used to watch that show & must've seen Journey on there back then. I don't see where it lists Journey on the DVD 'tho. Are these the same clips that are on the GH DVD?

They only show the introductory volume. These two other volumes were among more than a dozen others that Guthy Renker Customer Service told me were available now.

Correct me if I am wrong, on Midnight Special some performances were live and others lipsynced. Can someone tell me if these two Journey clips were done live or not?

I saw a program, infomercial I guess, the other night talking about the Midnight Special. Must've been a promo to order. I remember seeing Journy on the show back in the day, can't tell ya if it was live or not.

79 they performed LTS, City of the Angels, Too Late, Just the Same way, Loving you is easy (which look like they may be lipsyncing).......and Roadrunner Jam with Herbie Hancock...live.

Thanks for the info. I wasn't aware that Journey ever performed on Midnight Special. I watched that one, but not as often as I watched Don Kirshner's Rock Concert. I'll probably pick these up.

By the way, they are advertising the volumes as "Live performances, not lip-syncs..."

The perfomance including Lovin Touchin Squeezin and City Of The Angels is lip synched, I taped it when vh-1 was showing Midnight Special reruns in the late 90's

Hope this helps :)

That sucks. They shouldn't be advertising them as "LIVE performances..." then.

Yeah, it's kinda false advertisement.

I'm going to have to do some searching for Kirshner's Rock Concert. I remember seeing Rare Earth on that show, along with TDN and others. Great stuff.
