Is anyone else sick of all these campaign ads?

I am tired of people TALKING about the political ads - not you in this post, but on the news and talk shows.

We only have a couple more days, then we get to hear what went wrong on the losers' side, who SHOULD have won, and still very little change based on who actually got elected.

Aaaahhh, politics. Here in TN it is Ford vs Corker. Talk about smear campains on both sides.

Can anyone please explain to me why they feel that bashing their opponents is supposed to endear us to them?
Why not just talk about the damn ISSUES!
Thankfully, I can do searches on this thing to figure out what candidates I want to support. But how about all those people that don't have computers ( ie: elderly, poor, tech-challenged). They're very hard pressed to figure out who the hell to vote for anymore. They don't even send out flyers anymore like they used to.

I could go on for hours on this, but I'm off today, and I'm trying to keep my blood pressure under control!

Hate them too. I cannot stand this time of year when the ads heat up. I generally tune them out, because it's all the same garbage, insults flinging back and forth. Most candidates appear to be more interested in tearing down their opponents, instead of trying to build themselves up.

I used to be a "MY political party is right and yours is wrong" guy. Now, though I agree with the ISSUES on my political side, I realize that EVERY POLITICIAN is not what he/she claims to be. I have come to the conclusion that if you are in politics, you have done - and are doing - crooked things to get and hold your position.

I still get flyers in the mail for various issues here in California. Damn, they even sent a 190 page book on everything ! The candidates, the propositions.......... it is a huge read !

As for ads on tv, my ears block them out !

I swear that I could have built a HOUSE with all the paper ads I've gotten in the mail! I don't even look at them...in the garbage they go. Whether it's radio, TV or print, I don't even pay attention anymore.

When I have the tv on, almost every commercial is for or against a candidate. This is the first year we've received tons of fliers in the mail. We are literally getting between 5 and 10 a day! Little do they know that I just stand in the garage as I flip through the mail, and all of those fliers go directly into the recycling bin! They don't even make it into the house! I really get annoyed with all of the mud-slinging. Of course some are trying to connect their opponents in some way with President Bush. Here in Illinois, we also have candidates trying to connect their opponents to former governor George Ryan. He'll be going to prison in a few months.

I'm so sick of Bob Corker and Harold Ford, Jr., commercials. Corker's voice annoys me. I didn't care for him when he was our mayor.
