I have these songs too......... 8). There is another Tommy Tokioka song Steve did called " I Wish You Were Mine". :D

I've heard that one and I thought I had it. I just haven't run up on it yet. None of these are on my computer so I'm having to find them, save them on here, then upload them on dialup. It's probably gonna take a while. Do you have that one with Sheena Easton?

I have a question.

Has anyone ever run across any demos/outtakes for "Oh Sherrie" ??

I've got demos on other Street Talk stuff, but I've never found anything on "Oh Sherrie".

Just wondering.

No, I don't have any demos, etc, for "Oh Sherrie". Care to share the other Street Talk stuff? Please? With a cherry on top?

In the Sheena Easton song, "Still in Love", Steve is only part of a large choir that sings during the chorus. You'll never hear him individually, but he is listed as being part of the chorus. Same thing on "Soldiers of Peace" - just too many other voices to pick him out.

Well no, I don't mind, but they're not really worth it. They're the same ones as on the album, except the sound is different (unfinished, I guess you'd say) and some of them have the counting in the beginning, the cues... but I have "Foolish Heart", "Captured..." and "I believe" and the vocal track is exactly what is on the album.

I do have a "Homemade Love" that's a little different from what's on Departure though, if anyone wants that.

Here is the "Homemade Love" demo...it sounds real close to the final but the vocals are a little different closer to the end.

I like this one a lot.

I wish they'd dust this one off and polish it up a little...I know the vocals are quite challenging, but I'd like to see Jeff give it a whirl...he could put his own stamp on it...This song fucking rocks and would be excellent LIVE!

YES! Finally! Someone else who thinks this song rocks. Everyone in the "least fave journey song" thread kept bringing this one up. You know, I once bought a DVD boot JUST because it had a live performance of this song. True story, and yes...I am lame.

They should pull that one out of the dust bunnies, definitely. I would love to hear JSS give that one a shot too.

"jackies alone........" these lyrics have stuck with me since he wrote and recorded it,, for some strange reason ,, someone could now write a song and put Perry in there like he put sam and janis,,, i liked Raised on Radio as well,, but CBTM is perfect...thanks BJG!!

(Perry, Goodrum)

Where did he go
The man who said, "I have a dream"
Where have they gone
The four who sang to let it be
Jackie's alone
She lost him one November day
L.A. motel
One sad mistake took Sam away

Oh, remember then
Remember when

Captured by the moment
In the magic of a yesterday
Captured by the moment
And I hope it never fades away

Sweet Janis cried
Lord, won't you buy a Benz for me
Jimi was right
Castles made of sand slip to the sea

Oh, remember then
Remember when

Captured by the moment
In the magic of a yesterday
Captured by the moment
And I hope it never fades away
Captured by the moment
Oh, in the magic of a yesterday

Otis replied
A little tenderness we got to try
One open door
He tried to set the night on fire

Captured by the moment
In the magic of yesterday
Captured by the moment
And I hope it never fades away

Captured by the moment
Oh, in the magic of a yesterday

WOW!!Thanks BJG!!
Sounds to me like the vocals and guitar are more upfront in the mic than the original.
Always one of my favorite Joureny tunes, even though the lyrics are a bit silly!
I like the vocal adlib a bit more than the original.

"A bit silly"? you're being generous then, because those lyrics are downright asinine. But I STILL love the song!

And the demo is better than the final.

And Larry... CBTM is my favorite Street Talk tune. Love it.
