Wow, Deano! I don't know how I rated in your list! I really only had one real run in with you, but since you included me, I will give you my opinion. I don't hold you responsible for other's action's on this board but you have set a tone in the past that other's follow. Since you've been gone the tone of the board has improved, IMO. When you contribute something positive you get positive responses. When you can only go for shock value and insult's then you will get negative one's. As the board leader ( that you claim you are) you have a certain amount of responsibility for your action's... just like the coach of a team. It's up to you how you want to use that leadership role. My hope is that you come back with a new perspective and not just have to drop to the bottom and only use the F bomb and name calling. I'm all for some fun and joke's but they can be done with a little more intelligence. Check out some of Larry's post's! He's the funniest person here and doesn't have to resort to gutter humor to be funny! Hopefully you will come back and post and show us some of the intelligence, writing skill's and info you claim to have. Step up your game, dude!

Then you must be quite sad. There are any number of people who don't feel like posting at MR due to the viciousness that constantly erupts. And it's not about anyone "winning". It's about not wanting to participate in such a negative battle.

I second that. Some people prefer to avoid being caught in the crossfire, which unfortunately erupts pretty much anywhere and everywhere on here. So it isn't like you can avoid it in the "safe" threads... there aren't any.

I gotta agree also, as I am one of those who pretty much threw my hands up. Being an Augeri supporter, I was practically ridiculed right off the board, so I have resorted to lurking 99% of the time.

I will say this: For myself personally, I don't care for those who argue just for the sake of arguing. To me, that doesn't convey an intelligent nor adult sense of communication. Now, this is not directed toward any ONE person, but just a general, blanket statement. There is a such thing as agreeing to disagree or disagreeing in an intelligent matter without trying to make that person feel like an idiot.

At the sametime, I believe there are some people on this board who are just kidding when they post, but there are those who read these posts with no sense of humor.

It truly is - sadly - the minority here that really seem to enjoy intelligent discussion.

Which is why my post count is so low. I would post more, but I start to read a thread and
before I can even begin to start a reply, the whole thing devolves into arguing and pointless
name calling, and get's off topic. So I don't even get into it. (well, ok a couple times I did, but...)

To date I have found just very few threads that didn't go that way. Maybe 3 or 4. Maybe.

It doesn't seem like you present the same attitude towards everybody as you are giving to Dean. If I had acted like Dean has recently, I'm sure your reply would have been, "Don't let the door hit your ass on the way out!"

Maybe, MAYBE, you are trying to handle things differently. If that's true, great! We'll see, I'm very skeptical.

Okay. I will grant that Dean has provided some good information and I realize it's been difficult for you to keep Dean reigned in at times. However, even as Dean admitted, the band is using him. He would not have found out what he found out save for the band giving him info (or leading him to it). I'm sure they pick and choose exactly WHAT they tell Dean as well and pretty soon, there will be no need to tell him anything.
