You nailed it!!! What is it about this man that drawls people in???? Yeah, I think a CD and Tour is coming.

Given what I've heard with a conversation with a singer, you do actually need to do alot to get your voice in shape for any kind of performance, be it CD or what ever. Depending how how hard you're pushing, you only get a limited amount of run time on that voice before you need to call it a day and wait for the next one. And given how exacting Steve Perry is about recordings, I can't imagine him rushing through a CD process in two weeks or whatever.

I'd be very surprised if we do get an announcement of substance to be quite honest (by that i define newly recorded CD, original material, etc). I'd love to be surprised like the next one, but I don't see it happen. Here's hoping I'm wrong.

I wish that he would do another Q&A. They are always better than any interview. He gives well thought out answers without being pressured.

I hope that all of this speculation isn't scaring the heck out of him.

I feel that all the comments about his hair and weight and how he perceived his appearence himself might possibly be the main reason for his wanting to get back into shape. If it was to get ready for a stage appearence, it had a twofold beneifit.

Just seeing him looking so healthy and seemingly content is enough for me.

U know it must be awful to be famous. Can u just imagine having to read comments about urself everytime u gain a few lbs, lose a few lbs, get ur hair cut, grow ur hair, smile a certain way, get caught in a serious conversation w/a serious look on ur face, wear a black t-shirt, wear a red t-shirt, etc. Ugh. I had a little bit of fame once (not in music). It really wasn't much fun after a while. I always felt so drained having to be nice to people all the time. It didn't come naturally. Then, I had a stalker & spent a month in a hotel w/a cop outside my door b/c my life was in danger. After that, I just wanted to hide away & actually, I did, for a long time.

I can't blame people like Perry really for becoming reclusive & wanting to get away from it all. I'm surprised he even wants to give up the privacy he's found. But I guess certain personality types might thrive on the attention & miss it after a while.

Yep, we love to see him like that! No matter what. And, someone mentioned the Q&As - those are the best...he is so open, even vulnerable, insightful, and SO appreciative of the fans...it's mutual. And, I enjoy hearing stories, little things from him, anything...I'm weird but I love stuff like hearing what he eats for breakfast! :)

(and, lord I would rather have SP wrinkles & crinkles & all than a bad plastic surgery -- look at Kenny Rogers!)

Yea, I can't even imagine how very hard that would be to be a famous person, (especially Perry) always being critizised for everything you do or don't do, or how you look, what you wear etc.. that would probaly be VERY, VERY tire some.

And I couldn't even begin to comprehend how Perry has gotten through emotionally, it has to be very hurtful for him with the KIND of awful things that have been said for years about him on this board. All I can say is Perry is one strong confident individual, and HE DESERVES MUCH , MUCH CREDIT for the way he handles himself publicly.

As I said before though, He doesn't have to make new songs, or tour, or do anything special, in order for me to keep being his fan. I'll always be his fan that will never change! He can talk about whatever he wants in the interview, I'm just happy that we are getting another opportunity to hear from him again, that's all!

Well said Lori. I'm a fan o' da man w/out him doing a damn thing. What he's done already warranted my dedication. I'm not stupid, I would adore something new, but it doesn't phase my take on the man and his talents whether he does or doesn't. He made me a Journey fan...nuff said.

That's because he always approves the questions he will answer BEFOREHAND. And why you'll never get a no holes barred interview from him. And probably one reason why he won't give Andrew an interview.

I hope that all of this speculation isn't scaring the heck out of him.

I don't think it's the speculation.

The reason Yak is ALWAYS ragging on Perry EVERY TIME he post is because Yak is a missereable kind of guy that unfortunately enjoys spreading his own missery with everyone else, he lacks the ability to post something POSITIVE, because it appears, he has NOTHING POSITIVE going on in his own life. And you know that really is a shame, but I guess the only thing you can do with a negative person like that is just ignore him.

Yak does not take hypocrisy from anyone and will call you out on it when he feels the situation calls for it. Honesty goes a long way in his court of opinion..... :D :D :D

Thats great.....because I for one couldn't be more honest. :) One question though, where does the hypocrisy come into play because some poster wants to see Perry do another Q&A? :?

 No Lori, far from miserable. Your stupidity knows no end. I have a great life, actually. I simply made a statement which you all in rose colored glasses do not want to hear, but you know what? Tough cookies! I guess you all don't remember the big Q & A where Perry took questions pre interview, and then picked and chose what he wanted to answer (i.e. What's your favorite color?)

I couldn't care less if you are excited about getting a Perry interview. It will just be the same old, same old, and then you all will be cooing as if the Almighty himself had been here. I'm just thankful I have a life, and that I know exactly where to go to get my daily laugh. The truth is if Perry committed murder, you all would defend him to the death.

Rag on me all you want....because when you do it, you're leaving somebody else alone.
