I can't afford "I Love All Access".

Why do you rub your connections in people's faces? Some of us actually haven't been fortunate enough to meet the band and we don't need to read the extra gloating.

How childish.

Fire,

Not all of us have connections to the band. AR is like most of us who would like to meet the band we all love. How childish is that? I don't doubt for a minute that you would put something here had you met the band.

My 10 year old daughter and I were able to meet Neal and JSS because a friend of mine, who has no connections to the band, I don't think has ever met them, but they did talk to JSS about me and how I hadn't seen Journey since 86, and how excited I was about Jeff being in Journey, and that due to some issues preventing me from buying tix for the show. Jeff was kind and big hearted, made sure the both of us got to see the show, and to meet him, even tho it was very fast.

It isn't gloating if we, who have met the band, post here about it. It is an exciting thing to take part in and it is part of our concert experience. If you think that is "gloating", then don't read the damn post ! (But secretly, I think you are jealous of the people who do get to meet the members of Journey. JMHO!)

Thanks CRL, and I have no problems with "Fire" at all.

I actually have met some of the guys in the band a few times. Just having some fun here on the board. One or two of the guys may "remember me". I have no real connections though. Want to make that perfectly clear.

I got the chance to meet Jeff at Soul SirkUS in Boston last year and he left passes for me for Boston and Orlando this year.

The folks at the Orlando venue screwed up and I did not get to go back even though the passes were there...They had us wait in some office for like an hour then realized they messed up...By then it was too late. They did however buy my friends and I beer and food all night though to try and make up for it.

Boston was fine and got to meet him there as well.

The guy is a class act. No two ways about it.

In Boston I introuduced myself by name and my MR name.

He HAS met the band and of course I would say if I had but I wouldn't be sarcastic about it and say "Gee I wish I could be cool and meet the band" like he is. That comes off as a little haughty, to those of us who haven't had the privilege you guys have.

If you think that is "gloating", then don't read the damn post ! (But secretly, I think you are jealous of the people who do get to meet the members of Journey. JMHO!)[/b][/b]

Clearly you aren't picking up the tone of AR's posts to this thread... BTW I never attempted to deny that I would like to have the experience, call that "jealousy" if it makes you feel better...

Well, I met JSS in the lobby of the hotel that we/they were staying at in Orlando Sunday.
I did introduce myself ( as IF he knew who I was lol!) as KC- from the MR Forums.
So sort-of my handle/real name combined.

My screen name is my name...I know, boring, lol.

When we met Jeff very briefly though I didn't say anything other than "it's amazing to meet you" I think, he shook my hand, signed my "7" book, then reached out & shook my hand again. I unfortunately did turn into a blob, just couldn't believe I was meeting him. My friend Lynn did most of the talking, told him how big a fan of his I am, I have so much of his other work, etc. I feel like an idiot for that, lol. I'm sure he has no clue who I am anyhow, I don't stand out here, lol.
