Journey needs to make a new CD with Steve Perry at the helm.

They then need to do their touring with JSS as the lead man.

A joke, right yogi? Especially since SP writes "Journey" music to suit only himself, and he could then sit back and collect checks while JSS did the real work. And let's not forget that JSS can write his own music quite well. Yeah, that makes sense.

The soap opera stuff could be true....neccessitating the reason why he's taken to the gym recently.

Why would Perry record a CD with the rest of the boys? He's already reaping the rewards of someone else singing his songs nightly. All he has to do is call the bank and make the sure the check was direct-deposited into his account. Hell, I wish I was THAT smart. Sadly, I'm not.
