I always thought Sadaam due to the parts like "as the heavens fall from the sky" talking about the warplanes bombing Iraq and "wicked prophets kill while speaking his name". Hell, I'm confused too.

Perry said he was waiting to get into the band when he & Neal wrote them. Remember, they told Fleischman he was one of the roadie's Portuguese cousin at that time?

That is exactly correct. There are two songbooks coming out in December being published by Cherry Lane. One is for guitar, the other for piano. Each book has the music/lyrics to 20-25 songs. They did an interview with Steve a few months back which is included in the books and he talks a little bit about each song that is in the songbook. He talks about "Patiently" and how it was about him wanting to be in the band.

Um, there's an interview somewhere(and no I can't quote it or post a link to it)that says One More was written about the conflict in the Middle East. Not the current one, but the one that's been going on since the beginning of time as we know it. IMO "a King is born to a house filled with rage" refers to the birth of Jesus.

Ah, for piano? Very cool to know. Even if I didn't play piano, I'd probably get it to read what Perry has to say about the songs.

The interviews are really interesting. Some of the same songs are in both books (so some of the same parts of the interview are in both books), but there are some songs that are only in one book or the other. They are songs from Steve's career, so in addition to Journey songs, there are some from his solo stuff and also (if I remember correctly) "A Brand New Start" and "Don't Fight It" are in there.
