You've missed the intent.

A couple months ago certain people started threads that insinuated a relationship between Deano and JSS. It got to the point where JSS interjected and explained CLEARLY that there wasn't a relationship beyond this forum. People actually apologized to JSS when in fact they were merely tricked.

People are accusing me of trying to discredit Deano when the funny thing is that it seems to me that the photos were posted with the same kind of insinuations in order to give him credibility!

Perhaps there's a relationship now however I find it odd that none of the pics seem to support the insinuations - well, except for the one in this thread and that says it ALL doesn't it!

Okay, I agree that people tend to take things WAY too seriously here and elsewhere on the 'Net and it doesn't even have to be about Journey for that to happen. Proof of that is the way some have reacted to Frye's original post.

I've read Frye's comments on here before for a while and I will say this one thing LOUD and CLEAR - while it is OBVIOUS that some people at least cannot stand you Frye, and while I may not agree with some of your sentiments (who cares if I do or don't?), I totally APPRECIATE the way you handle yourself on this forum among people who have nothing better to do than rag on you every chance they get.

I viewed the "Bash" photos and I was immediately struck by something:
Where's the love between JSS and Deano?
Where's the love between RV and Deano?

Maybe I've missed something but I don't recall a single photo of JSS and Deano together. There's one photo of RV and Deano but RV is looking AWAY while Deano is clamoring to squeeze in. Either that or he's too drunk to stand upright.

Where's the love that certain people have tried so hard to project on this forum? Are there ANY photos forthcoming that have JSS, RV, and Deano arm in arm?

Some have voiced a concern - a real distaste - that JSS and RV would be at a party "WITH" the person who claims to be the reason why SA is out and JSS is in however it seems to me that they're NOT "WITH" him in any of the photos.

I've just woken up and it looks like I missed all the action last night (different time zone).

Reading through this thread it struck me that Fyre's original question was quite a reasonable one to ask. I must admit the same thought occured to me as I viewd the photos. Now, it doesn't worry me what the answer to the question is (ie if there is a pic of JSS and Deano together), but it is reasonable to ask the question in light of all the inferred cameraderie between them lately.

Yet the response from many of you seems to be WAY over the top. Even Andrew - I am really surprised at your intervention here, bearing in mind your relaxed attitude to so many other less innocuous threads and posts. Am I missing something here?

Maybe it's a case of there wasn't but there is now, but I've always thought there was some connection between Deano and JSS, maybe even other band members even though it was denied early on.

As for Jeff and Ross going to someone's party, I don't really give a toss whether they went there or not... they're allowed to do that. What I do have a problem with is the fact that some folk seem to be on here just to bloody broadcast how pally-wally they are with the guys.

I know about all the controversy, and the shit take Deano took when he broke the news to the world.News that people still won't beleive. I have to admit that I WAS an unbeliever as well.

I went to the party, and discussed all of the bullshit with Deano.After getting to know Deano,and hanging with him and Lula over the weekend,I have come to the conclusion, is that you will not find a more passionate Journey fan,and TRULY great guy.Deano and Lula (as did everyone) embraced me and welcomed me into the "family", REGARDLESS if we had differing opinions.

It seems to me Fyre,that you are pissed because some one developed a relationship with band members, and you are trying to discredit them because of it. As far as it being Deano's fault that Steve is not around anymore,it wasn't Deano's fault, it is Journey and managements fault.Even Steve's fault to a degree,even though he had no control over his voice shutting down on him.

I have made some great friends this weekend, and even if they have a difference of opinion,I will defend them if they are right.

A couple of things...it may be that pictures WERE taken, but not uploaded, or no pictures were taken, but they WERE buds at the party. It could also be that they are NOT buds and no pictures were taken.

Either way, I think if it's important to Frye, then it's important to him and I think everyone should stop jumping all over him because he asked a question!

It's not important at all for me to see pics of Dean and JSS together. I don't care, but if it's important to Frye, why CAN'T it be important without some people immediately jumping on the HUGE bandwagon that rails against all who do NOT see Journey or things Journey the way you see 'em? No one is flaunting anything. Had we not posted about it, people would have roasted us over it and the questions and PM's would have been endless. Notice neither Dean or I have posted a picture yet? Other party guests did that because they had FUN. And that was what it was all about.

Tell you the truth, I wanted to pay the band back and have my wife cook them dinner. I have been treated like gold by them. With the crowd we had though, Jeff and Ross did US the favor - YET AGAIN. They made a lot of people very happy. My intent was though to pay THEM back. Didn't work out that way, but that was what I was trying for.
