You know what? This whole thread isn't about any ILAA thing. It is soley about people being pissed off because two band members went to one party given by people here at MR. And now said people are pissed off because the band didn't attend their pre-show party.

The members do what they want to do, and that is what they decided on..........

Now.............

GET OVER IT !!

I purchased ILAA tickets for the two shows I went to in St Louis and Little Rock. The band showed up in STL but not LR, so that's 50% from my perspective. I do know they showed up to more shows than not. I didn't buy ILAA with the intentions of meeting anyone; I wanted the seats! (and enjoyed the beverages) Once your've tasted front row you will never want to go back. I don't care to meet anyone because of what they do and don't care for an autograph unless they are signing a check with my name on it!

We stayed at the Peabody in Little Rock where Def Leppard were staying (even same floor) but I have no photos or autographs. I didn't hunt them down just to look like a fool. Journey stayed at the Wynham down the road, I didn't march my happy ass down there to meet them, either. As a matter of fact, I didn't purchase tickets to Memphis because I was feeling a little like a psycho stalker. They'd think I was a freak showing up to all these shows, at least I would if the roles were reversed.

Rick Springfield is coming to Cape Girardeau, MO, where I live, for a benefit for a little girl with brain stem cancer (see front page MR.com a few weeks ago). I purchased premium tickets to see him as well. Not that I really care to meet Rick Springfield but I've grown acustomed to the front row. These seats do gaurantee I will meet Rick, however, I don't want to meet anyone under the pretenses of being 'a fan' unless they wanted to meet me also. It would only be an ackward situation; "Hi, um, I'm a fan.....you rock". I would rather have more interaction; sit down, drink a beer, and shoot the shit. (Although, I do have other intentions for seeing Rick; I used to work for the Oncologist treating the little girl and my concert going friend is her nurse for chemo treatments.)

My point is that I would much rather meet Journey (or anyone) at a party like what happened in Baltimore than in a staged M&G.

Wait a minute, Monker. So, your point is that you simply do NOT like the way ILAA is HANDLING THE SITUATION?

Oh, I thought it was because you are really jealous of everyone who went to AR's house for the party... :)

Get a freaking clue. They are a BAND. They are not ur buddies. They put on a show, u pay to see it. That is it. This is their job. U get entertained. They are not here to care how u feel or how u don't.

Interesting MCC620 that u post a million times to gripe but when there is an interesting discussion going on here that isn't full of whining, u have nothing to say. I am really sorry ur life is so miserable. Go to therapy or get a hobby.

I'm doing nothing different than others who constantly come to someone else's aid on this forum when someone says something they don't like or if they attack someone. It's no different. I'm agreeing with him (like you agreed with CRL).

Not sure why that bothers you. Also not sure why the people who are annoyed at this thread continually come back into it and post something which brings it back up to the top?

Fred,

This whole post isn't all about ILAA. Get your head out of the sand and re-read what Monker said. It DOES all come down to that a few members went to a party thrown by MR members, as a way of meeting each other. The fact that JSS and Ross decided to go was just that, they decided to go. The party thrown would of gone off without a hitch if JSS or Ross didn't show up. It was a fucking party for god's sake.

And on the other side, there was a pre-party being thrown at the Hard Rock by BT'ers, which one of them said an invite was posted to the band members to attend. They CHOSE not to attend, for whatever reasons they had. And said party people are now pissed off because none of the band members showed at their party.

I will say this once again. It isn't all about ILAA, Fred.

I'm not sure what that comment(s) is supposed to be. Is it your attempt at insult? It's mundane and not at all creative.

You yourself know that without people to disagree with on this forum, then it WOULD be exactly like BT (except of course, it would be BT's vulgar brother/sister). :D Everyone would be of "one mind" and there would actually be nothing to discuss except:

1) Wow, that JSS has got the moves!
2) Man, JSS can dance on me anytime!
3) Wow, Journey has never been better!
4) Man (insert anyone's name), you can PARTY!
5) Dang, Journey never sounded BETTER!

...and other mutually-beneficial and equally mundane comments, like those that appear at BT. Come on, you KNOW you love to argue. You're made for it. Your attempts at humorous sarcasm speak for themselves (emphasis on the word "attempts").

I'm not even gonna bloody bother making any comments cos it's pretty clear what way most folk on here's minds work.

I agree with Marty on the whole free speech issue. Seems you can't say anything unless you agree with the majority.

Why don't you all go live in one of the wee villages in the Highlands? It would suit you.

U seem to be missing the point. Jeff & Ross attended a party on THURSDAY nite. Did u get that? Thursday. They did not attend ANY pre-show party on Friday. Not the one at Hard Rock nor the one at Carlos O'Charlies (or whatever it's called).

& by the way, CRL doesn't go into the Sex & Booze thread so leave her out of this.

I did read it and I re-read it before I posted. YES, he mentioned the party, BUT that was simply to throw LIGHT on the FACT that the ILAAs are NOT the best organized and maybe, in spite of what they SAY on their site, maybe, JUST MAYBE they are NOT going to provide the fan with the best concert experience. Hey, it would NOT be the first time CORPORATE AMERICA THUMBED THEIR NOSES AT THE PEOPLE WHO PAY THEM TO EXIST.

Ok I stand corrected about the invite not being directed at the band members. But the fact that they didn't show up to the Hard Rock pre-party the next day got you and other upset because they attened an MR party the night before.

I don't go into the Sex and Booze thread much. I don't drink. So get off that kick.

I am not the one who is perpetuating this thing about JSS and Ross going to an MR party. It is Fyre, you, and others who brought this up.
