Well, the visit to the ILAA tent in San Bernardino and the meet & greet in Hollywood must have been figments of my imagination.

More sorry tales of woe from Monker. Back to the usual for Mr Negative.

And as AR said, it was an open invite for anyone to go. Just because JSS and Ross decide to show up, some people get in a tizzy. And what is this thing about Ross showing up as being disrespectful to Frank? ( I have no clue what this is about.) Have you ever thought that Ross might of wanted to get to know Dean himself, and make his own decisions on if he likes him or not? Ross does have a mind of his own.

The biggest suprise at the party.

I'm sure this will piss people off as well. One of the coolest things was having Andrew on phone for a while during the party. What cool cat he is. It was great to talk to you mate.

Bingo. But there was an open invitation, so no one can be blamed for anything here. Wy people search for negativity when there is so much positive right there in front of them is beyond me...

Andrew, it is because JSS and Ross decided, on their day off, to attend AR's party, and that got some in a tizzy.

I just got a PM from a newbie who says I am bragging a lot about the party. I'd really like to know where I have done that. The only thing I have done is express how much fun it was, and that I was glad everyone had a good time.

I don't have a problem with folk being friendly with the guys. But some people on here seem to go on and on about how cosy-cosy pally-wally they are with them, which makes me wonder just how much of it is actually true.

#1 Deano was actually kidding
#2 I'm not home in SC yet, still in Philly so when I get home u will see my pics of the most extraordinary show of all...jeff is all over the stage, so hard to get a pic of him...
#4 I sat in row 3 floor right in front of Neal, I even got 2 guitar picks...what magic fingers he has and a joy to watch.
#5 The rest of the guys were fantastic as usual especially Ross with his squirt gun and funny faces...he is fun to watch..
#6 Deen C. oh what a voice and he sang my 2 fav songs...(no comments please)
#6 anything else u all would like to know about the show...
#7 The PARTY was awesome b/c of all of the new friends, not the band...
#8 does this answer all your questions?

AR, I have to tell this little story....I want everyone to know how much Ed was concerned about peeps having a good time...he asked me many times at the restaurant if this place was OK? did I like the food, did I have enough to drink, and he was concerned b/c he didn't have much time to plan this pre-party...guess what we had a after party that wasn't even planned at the same place and it worked out gret...they had this huge room with a gigantic sofa and a table that lifted up and moved right into our laps....AR, was so worried that we were having a good time...

LOL...you're missing the point.

The BAND chooses not to attend. I bet if you counted the number of times a member of Journey showed during this tour that you could count them on ONE HAND.

Basicaly, you are making my point for me...the band would rather hang out with those who have an expressed hatred of other Journey fans then those who have shown the love. It's THEIR choice.

Monker,

If Journey is showing love to those guys, its NOT because they hate other fans (and I don't think that's even true) but because Journey thinks those guys are the serious fans. Maybe Journey is wrong on that point, but at least thats how they see it. Personally, I think its fine, but I'm only baffled why they dont just try and make this place the offical site (and pay wombat) and close the other place down which is irrelevant now. This way we would have one fan place run right without alienating the other fans.

Of course the other theory, and maybe you'll prefer it, is the old axiom: Keep your enemies close.

You decide which.

I think its cool the guys went to hang out at a party. Its the closest thing to class they've done since the tape gate thing broke.

I don't why you should be following anyone's lead, but that's up to you.

The only difference is I don't make things up, argue w/every single person who posts here, & come off sounding like an idiot ALL the time.

Well, let's see, I don't argue with every single person who posts here (you made that up) and if I come off sounding like an idiot, it might be your problem and if you think I sound like an idiot all the time, that's your opinion. Point of "fact," is that to me, you sound like a no-brainer elementary school child most of the time.

I told u to take ur personal beefs w/me to PM merely to save the other members from having to read them continually. That's all.

Oh, how thoughtful you are...and I wish you would follow your own advice because what you say in response to others is often incredibly witless.

All these negative posts stem from one thing IMO --- J E A L O U S Y. Plain and simple. I know that I sure am jealous. Who wouldn't be? I think it's normal. Although I admit to being jealous, I am still happy for all those who went and love hearing all the details. I say just ignore all the whiners.

Monker or Fred mentioned a couple of posts ago that they hadn't seen a review of the concert in Baltimore, and I remember reading a really great one yesterday... I went back and DonnaPlease authored and posted a great review of this concert. Did you not read it? I can't figure out from your posts if you really are a Journey fan or not, Monker... But wouldn't it be fair that if you are not one, that you don't come on the Journey forum and knock them and the ones that are fans? (This whole beef has something to do with Deano and their hangups with him--not so much Journey, seems to me...)

Well, this will come as a shock, but I'm NOT jealous. I have no desire to have attended the party in question and if I ever wanted to have a chance of meeting the band, I would have purchased a package and crossed my fingers.

You're right about the whiners though. They are legion in this particular thread and it seems like all they want to do is twist what's been said and shut people up. Too bad too.

Have ya ever heard of talking apples and oranges??? I can really think of no finer example to illustrate that than this whole discussion. IF this party had occurred on the day of the concert, and JSS and Ross decided that they would forego the whole pre-show and/or post-show festivities to attend a party given by any particular individual, then yes, you (meaning any ILAA purchaser) would have a right to bitch all you want. But that's not the case. I'm not sure how many different ways it can be said that these guys can spend their 'day off' any damned way they please. I'm just happy they chose to spend it with us.

I think I'm a pretty reasonable person. But this whole argument reeks. Move on with your lives people.
