RG, I've never had nothin' to post of importance but I just post, you don't have to feel you need to post something of value, look at NIG, he's been posting forever and he gets away with it

I could give a rats ass what the band does in their off time. They have lives, just like anyone else.
If they thought they might meet with fans who would quiz them on Augeri or tapegate, then that's probably why they are avoiding the situation. They know how the people at AR's party feel about it, so there would be no pressure on them. We know they can't talk about any of it, at least till the tour is over, or maybe never. They have to want this buried ASAP and athe more BT fans they come into contact with, the more likely they will be asked about it. What the band's management doesn't realize it that the longer they drag it out and don't address it, the more fascinating the mystery becomes to people...and the more it pisses them off. Bottom line...try to avoid as many fans as possible, unless you are sure they are on board with JSS and don't hold you accountable for tapegate.

Sorry, but I must strongly disagree with that statement. You will find equal amounts of praise for all things Journey here. Arrival for instance and the early Augeri tours are held in great asteem as is the legacy of the band's earliest work also.

There is a great cross section fo fans here and a lot of love for all things Journey.

Really! I am glad there is a BT. It suits some people more than this forum does & that is just fine.

Exactly. And even better if you want to post on both forums.

No one that makes a valid point in a well thought out fashion descibing why they feela certain way gets ridiculed. It's the posters that don't think before they post or just don't back up their arguements that get ridiculed.

I'm not sure I know what you are talking about either. Going round and round in circles is all I see. if there is a problem that is a FACT, then please advise.

Folks like you are still participating, albeit vicariously through the other posters, and hopefully either being entertained or gaining some knowledge...or both!

Just as there are people like yourself who prefer not to post for one reason or another, there are people here who will not post because as one poster said in a PM to me today, s/he is afraid of "being eaten alive."

The only "problem" I see here is that people are afraid to post because they'll be chewed up and spit out. That isn't a problem for me, but for others who have PM'd me.

The conversation stems from my responses to NealIsGod and then AR and then Deano and now you.

Not to me. Leaving is leaving. Lurking is watching and mabe one day, a post will result.

If the tone of the board was more inviting, then lurkers would be posters. If they were NOT here, then the chance of that happening would be nil. As long as they remain, even as lurkers, then they may wind up posting.

I was once a lurker, but decided to try a post and see what happened...of course, as a matter of fun, Deano attacked me, and I reacted back, and then it was over and all in fun..thats how I took it b/c thats what it was...FUN...they must have very thin skin....why not try a post or tow and see what happends...they may like us...we are a fun bunch and very friendly...just look at our pics...

Sorry Andrew, maybe you hold Augeri's time with this band in great esteem, but a large chunk of the posters do not. And if you do so, why did you allow the horrible bashing of him to continue on and on for so very long. Seems your own actions contradict those words. And since the beginning of the year the praise for all things Journey has diminished slowly but surely to praise for all things RocknDeano.

Your main site is great and I love having found it, but the way you moderate the Journey forum leaves alot to be desired and alot to ponder.

FYI my name was brought into this thread, hence the invitation to post my opinion of something. Then Andrew responded to something I said and I responded to him. Where' the problem?

Ok, I know what you mean and for ayone reading this - I DO NOT like to hear such and find that response to be a problem that I'd like to deal with.

THAT Said - there are certan people that sign up as newbies and come out firing from the first post - either adding to the arguement or starting a new one. Posters have to earn a little respect here before trying to shove their opinions down everyone's throats.

If said opinions are deivered in a respectful and well thought out fashion, then there should be NO reason for ANYONE to ridicule or abuse and I'll deal with anyone that does do that.

This board was built on the premise that you are free to post your opinions and your beliefs no matter what they are. Just do it respectfully and don't attack those that have been here a long long time.

If anyone is being attacked unfairly or unreasonably, then I want to hear about it - so PM me anytime.

Andrew allowed for open discussion. MANY times he mentioned that the band needed to release a statement to calm some of the language. THEY chose not to, somewhat tying Andrew's hands. Journey's lack of an official statement regarding the allegations far surpass anything Andrew did or didn't do pertaining to "tapegate." At times the board did get ugly, in large part because Journey has been a big part of a lot of our lives. Shame on the band and management for not addressing the issue, NOT Andrew. He moderated his board as he he saw fitting. I, for one, thought he did a pretty good job.

PS It's "a lot."

Depends what your definition of "bashing" is. There were some things that came to light in the last 12-18 months and discussion of those issues was needed. This forum was the only place in the beginning that allowed such discussion - it gave me sleepless nights (literally), but the discussion was needed.

It's no secret you fawn over Augeri. I used to love that guy, supported him at every chance and go to war for him against the Loons daily. Boy, was I stupid. After seeing what shit he pulled and wanted to continue to pull, that pissed me off, and that led me to know Augeri as anything but classy and humble, as all you BT'ers say. Go back and read the war of words between your people that came over here and myself. It went BOTH ways. Quit your needless bitchin. What I did was open some eyes, and then some more, and finally the Bands'. Be glad it went down like this. Be glad it was me who did it. If it were someone with a grudge, someone with a serious agenda to bury Journey, we wouldn't have such a bright future to look forward to.

In closing, what you have to deal with is this, Maria. Your singer couldn't sing, resorted to faking it, I found out, the Band made changes, and now we have all moved on. Don't sit here and blame me, Neal, Jon, or Andrew for the problem. The problem was Augeri was the only memeber in the band who couldn't do his job adequately, if not at all, thus a change had to be made. Go blame the weak link, not the guy who exposed the problem.

My opinion of BT ers degenerated only because of the stupidity and blindness that you all show. It's hilarious and funny to see the flat out idiocy displayed daily by your clan. I mean, you did self appoint yourself Queen, right? So it is your clan.

Go write Stevie Wonderful a beautifully penned letter, and ask him to a party. Maybe he will come, but let me to continue to invite the band to parties. They obviously like us and they showed it by stopping by.

i couldnt agree with dean more, jealousy is such an evil virtue, monker (or is it monkey we should call you) im sorry you transalte all your posts in this thread into just that. I had never met journey, ever!, they were kind enough to have a few words with me and very upbeat and fan friendly when i met them for the very first time in boston at the meet greet. Anyone i saw them interact with, they were very humble and took at least a minimal amount of time to shake hands autographs etc. I recently saw them again in Manchester, and again a bunch of classy, down to earth guys, who again PAID ATTENTION to their fans, how about spending 15 minutes of a concert to raise money for the family of a local manchester cop who had died, id say that is pretty friendly and noble, only a classy group would do that. I even happened to see them in the hotel afterwards and they spent several minutes to shoot the shit, like real , classy dudes, they are straightup, and i respect that. Oh and by the way they were at their ILAA event in manchester, as they were in boston, so stop bitchin about that.
