Thanks Tree, just love the Departure stuff! Gawwwd I think Neal's guitar and Perry's voice must have been separated at birth. :D The whole concert is great.

Thanks Tree....that was great...I haven't seen much stuff from that era...but loved that version of that song...There will never be another combo again like Steve Perry's voice and Neal's guitar....but then again we haven't had anything from JSS and Neal..that should be very interesting and can't wait for this to happen...

I was surprised by that too, I lived in Japan for 3 years, they usually were nuts for American rock.

Yeah, it's a great song...and Ross should NEVER be allowed to sing it live again. No offense, Ross.

Monker,

I would think the mega tour and multi-platinum records would speak for themselves on this one wouldn't they?

I liked the Ross-led version from the Gens tour a great deal.
This band could do a kick ASS blues record if they ever put their minds to it. I guess they don't have the leeway Aerosmith did when they recorded Bobo....

I thought Ross' version was great fun and I think that's how it was meant to be taken. It still sounded nice and bluesy. But then I am the only person here that liked "Gone Crazy".
