When To Quit

Postby Wheels Of Fyre » Fri Nov 17, 2006 9:23 pm

"FYRE - you just don't know when to quit."

If I had a nickel for every time I've heard that here...

I found this interesting:

You really haven't moved on have you. Neither have a lot of people here as these kinds of quips - subconsciously or consciously driven - are made daily. The crusade against SA marches on and on and on and on...

What you and so many others fail to recognize is that I don't need to quit anything because I'm not the one on a crusade. I'm the one trying to save myself from it!

I suppose if I were on a crusade I'd take Lula's advice and start my own Deano-like blog. But I won't because I'm not. Not a bad idea though. It helped certain others build up "MelodicRock capital" which is now spent daily in condescending and dismissive tones towards anyone who questions.

I'm not concerned. That bank account is fading faster than my hairline.

<EDIT>

Well, I was just over at BT and stumbled on more!

Look, you pathetic slug...
My comment about Jeff not having any problems singing tunes from Generations
(and any other Augeri-era-tunes) was in reference to a comment made somewhere else
that the band wasn't playing this stuff because Jeff didn't feel comfortable singing it.
That comment was absolutely ludicris.
That comment had absolutely nothing to do with Augeri...
except to your one-track mind.

Next...

Everyone is getting pissy and moaning about "When we gonna get a statement" and blaming
Management and the 'current' band
; acting like they are sooooo afraid to get the info out there...

Douchebags, such as yourself, don't have the mental capacity to see that the hold-up right now
is not management or the band but your fucking savior, Mr. Awesome, who is most probably
'trying' to play hardball and get what 'HE' feels is a fair settlement.
The guy WAS FIRED! You don't think he's pissed? You don't think he feels he's owed something
since he is still under contract? You fuckers really crack me up :)

You know, as a Catholic, I always knew 2 sure things about God but, thanks to you WzngNut, I now know 3...

1. On the 7th day, God didn't rest...
He got drunk, got in a really silly mood and then, as a joke to his own creations he
made the Platypus.

2. He made a HUGE mistake when he decided to create man and leave man's testicles on
the outside! I guess God never really thought of how vulnerable testicles would be to
extreme pain...

And now for 3, which I just learned today....
God fucked up by giving YOU said testicles cuz you are one whiney Bitch :D

Now quit swinging from MY Nutsack and go back out on the playground
and skip rope with the other Nancys around here...

Carlitto, with Deano (apparently) wanting nothing more to do with this board, are you putting in your bid to become king of the insults and superfluous wisecracks?

You didn't start out posting this way, but it seems to me that in the past couple of weeks your comments have been getting more and more confrontational. You seem to have made up your mind and anybody who disagrees with it you regard as idiot.

Whatever else he is, Fyre is not an idiot. He is asking questions that the majority of you seem to want to ignore, now that you have had your say in the debate. If it seems he is flogging a dead horse it is only because you and others like you keep prodding that horse with the wisecracks and sarcastic one liners.

JSS personally posted on here when they were rehearsing The Place In Your Heart "That's a fun one to sing"

He's already done FITH a few times.... I doubt he'd refuse to sing Augeri era material there is too much good stuff.

No No NO...

Let Wyngz try to bring all the ammo he can muster to plead his case.
I don't care if he brings posts I made at BT into the ring because
at least I, unlike some other posers and wannabes, post the same ideas, thoughts
and opinions there as I do here; minus the vulgarity and 'Dark' humor.

So let him keeping ranting...

In reference to a comment made somewhere else? Do you always post commentary in a thread that has absolutely nothing to do with another thread?

Here's your complete statement in context:
"So does this new picture make everyone happy???
Jeff's not sitting like before... Although Neal is perched up pretty high

And the add says "The 2007 Tour will include the band’s signature hits
as well as tracks from Journey’s latest studio release, Generations."
Guess Jeff has NO PROBLEM singing these tunes."

Thanks for the clarification but can you honestly blame me for "misunderstanding"? I'm still not sure I know what the heck you're talking about! This response is in reference to a comment made in which thread...?

Sorry. It just looks to me like you're slamming SA yet AGAIN.

Let's do some real thinking here, by deduction, gathering intelligence, and reading between the lines. Do it like a cop does. A cop thinks like a criminal to catch a criminal. The same principle can be applied here.

So thinking like Augeri........

Who do you think is gumming up the works here? If you have read posts thoroughly, you would of seen that Augeri is the one who is holding things up. He is playing hardball. And he does feel that he is owed something. If he didnt' feel that way, then why is he playing hardball? Augeri could of ended this already. The band would of put out the Official Press release, and Andrew would of already posted his interviews.

From all the postings I have read so far, having thought about this over and over ( and reading between the lines), I have gathered that Journey wants to end this, put out the Press release, and keep on. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure it out.
