Probably Wednesday or after at best would be my best guess. Funny. It's been so long in waiting now I've kind of lost interest. That's a first!

This pretty much sums it up for me too, Andrew. Tell Journey no one cares anymore :D

Everything with Journey is so shrouded in mystery - it's friggin' ridiculous. I do not understand the management of this band and have not for many years.

I'm going to have to agree with this also. I hate being jerked around like this, and I pretty much don't even care anymore. This band isn't really a big deal anymore as far as the mainstream is concerned, so I can't see why they think all this secrecy and dragging stuff out is going to benefit them with the small group of fans they have left. What really sucks is that when they finally do make a statement, it will only be to tell us that JSS is now the official lead singer of Journey. Well...big damn deal. I think we all knew that was coming. I'm sure they won't disclose the real details of Augeri's departure or anything else. It will just be a tiny sound byte that amounts to nothing that we weren't already expecting to hear. I just wanted to read the damn interviews that Andrew was going to post and now it's taking forever because the band won't even have the courtesy to post a frigging 8-10 word sentence. Lame!

There is only one person to blame for this delay.

Let's hold off on the complaining until I know what's happening this week...

Thanks Andrew, as usual.
Only one hypothesis left on my mind.
I can only think and get back to an infamous Herbie Herbert interview and imagine...

ROFLMAO. Good answer.

So that means between now and when hell freezes over?

(j/k guys. Love Perry and would love another album. Just being realistic. I will honestly be HAPPY to eat those words if he ponies up someday.)

Dutch Aardschok hardrock magazine has an interview with one the Talisman members this week in which they ask about Jeff's involvement with Journey. The guy from Talisman sais in the interview that Steve Augeri won't be back and that Jeff will most probably be the new permanent member of Journey, he also sais that Journey will have the rest of 2007 off after the tour in march and that JSS will tour with Talisman in may.
Rock on !

Oh my, so many speculations, assumptions, conclusions and conspiracy theories could be built around these tidbits. :P

Does it mean Perry isn't doing something new?
Does it mean he is and will announce with Uncle Joe or on Fanasylum, therefore Journey needs to announce before that?
Is the one person holding things up a former frontman?

Aaaahhh, the possibilities.

Hmmmmm....One person and a spouse, eh? Sounds like my suspicion has been confirmed that his first name is definitely Steve!!!! I didn't know this guy had this much power. I always viewed him as a hired hand! This is interesting.

No matter what your opinion of Augeri, and what happened, you have to admit with something as big as this, he's going to make sure whatever announcements or dealings come out of it that it's got his stamp of approval. The question I have is how long have they been wrangling this around? When was it decided that Augeri was permanently "out." Did Augeri actually believe he might have rejoined the tour, with the rest of the band & management knowing that JSS' audition was actually the Soul Sirkus tour? Did Augeri come out to the show earlier this year in NY actually thinking that he would be stepping back in at some point, or if not, why did it appear he was still on good terms with all?

Maybe SA was determined to spill the beans, about all of the band being in collusion..and that he was forced to mime.... the hold up has been caused by all of them coming to a satisfactory "story" to tell the public...one where no one loses face.. boy, is this gonna be some tall tale!!

I agree with your point, Jeremey. I just wish they would all stop the charade and get on with the business that is Journey. At this point, it's gone on WAY too long! For the record, I have nothing against Augeri. It's his fans I can't stomach! I think Journey, as a band is culpable for the tapegate scandal, and anyone who really thinks otherwise doesn't "get it". One guy did not pull off what was done, without others knowing about it. It simply defies logic to believe that.

I think Augeri should publish a book entitled "If I Did It."
