I'm with AR on this one. I never really had much of a desire to post on another internet site about Journey, but their "official" website became so freakin' nauseating, with the same 5 chicks posting, ad nauseum about how "dreamy" "Mr. Awesome" was with his "wiggle" that I simply had to get out! Until BackTalk actually encourages and allows intelligent Journey discussion without the mods having a thread locking contest, that website won't be worth posting on!

As a lifelong Journey fan, I do hold out some hope that BT will be re-vamped and changed, for the better. Journey fans deserve to have the "official" home of their favorite band on the internet be a place where they can actually go and talk about the music! There are some good people on that site and even one decent mod, so I hope for the sake of all Journey fans that a day will come where all Journey fans are free to talk openly about Journey, even if there may be some constructive criticism, from time to time.

I'm not sure whether or not your comments are directed at me or not. If they are, I can assure you that I have NEVER EVER EVER said any such things about ANYONE on BT, or any other site for that matter. The only thing I have ever said that could be construed as negative about any individuals at BT is that there are about 5 women over there who act like their constantly in heat and NEVER contribute anything meaningful to that board, AT ALL! I stand by those comments, and will never change my mind about that. Oh...and since we're all making nice and "confessing" our sins here, I also said I think Rich is a jerk and a trouble maker, and I stand by that comment

My issues with the mods on that site is that they allow page after page of mindless crap and then lock any intelligent dialogue, immediately, because one of the wiggle wacks jobs might get offended. As I've said before, it is offensive to me as a Journey fan that the site is run as it is, but, such is life! And before you point out that this site has it's own share of "mindless crap", I won't even disagree with your point on that. In fact, there are many threads here that I don't bother reading. Let's just hope with "Stevie Awesome" out as Journey's frontman that the official site can move on and give all Augeri fans their own little forum over there so the same 5 women can amuse themselves in perpetuity! It would be nice to see someone actually talk about some music over there.

As Dean knows, I support his personal choice to do this. I think it is great that he believes unification is possible. I used to post on BT regularly. I still post occasionally when a thread grabs me, but I seem to draw ridicule from a select few when I do post which makes me choose to stay away. It would be great if everyone could get back to discussing the music which is what brought us together to begin with.

I am saying that SOME people who agree with you take their hatred of BT and equate it to hating the people posting there so they attack and ridicule them. What AR is doing is wrong. I know that Monker is not all that well liked here, and a lot of time he rags on Perry, but in this case I agree with him. Why do the people over at BT have to be ridiculed and put down. Why make fun of others that have weight issues. Come on, this is like high school. We could do without the pics of women who have weight issues.
