Canada has Thanksgiving too, a month earlier........in October. :)

That's what I love about Canada, might not be the greatest spark of a nation but they've not followed America on this 8) You can just imagine the French saying. Oh no, fuck zeeesse Americanz, we go for Octobre and get le Turkees first. Method in their madness. Sad thing is though I bet Geddy Lee's been chased with a carving knife on a few occassions

Speaking of Canadian Thanksgiving...Do you all do the turkey and stuffing thing there too? Or do you have something different for your Thanksgiving dinner?

Yep, exact same as the US, except ours is only a 3 day weekend, usually the second monday in October.

Thanks that's fun to know...even though the turkey is the mainstay of the dinner in the States there are regional differences in the side dishes, desserts etc... I imagine it's the same in Canada. Happy late Thanksgiving to you...

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

I've got it better than most of you men!!! Relax all day with my hubby and daughter, watch football, etc., then go over to mother-in-law's house for a terrific dinner that SHE cooks!!! And we ALL help with the clean-up! I remember the first holiday dinner I went to at my hubby's mom's house when we were dating. After dinner, all the men went into the living room to "relax" while all the women went into the kitchen to clean up. I thought, "What the hell is this?" As I did not see my boyfriend going to help his mother, I didn't either. The next day, I got a call from hubby all pissed off because his mom was pissed that I didn't help clean up. I told him that we HE got in the kitchen and helped his mom, then I would. I was just as much of a guest as any of the men sitting on their asses! That macho "women's work" attitude doesn't fly in my house! We work really well together as a team. We split the cooking, and my husband is a better cook than I am. He's not afraid to load the dishwasher, either. And it works both ways: I'm the one outside mowing the lawn every week! Oh, and for those of you fellas who are about to make comments about my husband being "feminine," he's not!!! He designs and builds recycling systems for a living. So, he can spend the day working on a 10-ton shredder and come home and make dinner! He's also building a house completely from the foundation up all by himself.

So will anyone be playing any Journey CD's at Thanksgiving dinner? It is a perfect time to become our own little street teams and get the word out about the band. My brother is one of those people that thinks "Escape" is the be all end all of Journey albums. I'm going to try to educate him on some deep cuts from Evolution and Infinity. Maybe sometime next year we'll have some new material with JSS to listen to. One can only hope.
