I now agree. I myself and attempting to quit drinking and would like references to drunks, and getting loaded avoided. I have asked that the booze thread be removed. I am sensitive to this problem I am facing and that thread is offensive to me.

Also, my sister works at the Gap. She is struggling to raise 2 kids on her own. Making light of Steve Augeri's employment there is hurtful to me and it would be nice if we could make a conscious effort to avoid that. Thanks.

That was until he talked about how BT is all "about the music". Are you freakin' kidding me? I'm not sure there is a Journey site on the net that is less about the music than Journey's "official" site. I just can't believe a mod, who actually visits that site and endorses all the mindless wiggle threads has the audacity to make that kind of a claim!

Totally agree that there isn't much music talk as of late over there. Then again, MR certainly has it share of topics not related to the music either. How many threads can you start and how much can you say just about the music. The lunatic ravings and back and forth banter is what makes this site great as long as everyone keeps it under control. I actually agree with you 100%. There should be topics about things other than the music, as you can only talk about the same thing over and over again for so long. That's really my larger point, though. Music is almost never discussed on BT, and most of the threads in the GF over the past 6 months have been nothing but "Stevie Awesome" lovefests! I guess I'm just someone who finds it all nauseating.

At the end of the day, it never bothered me when someone had something positive to say about Augeri (or anyone else in the band, for that matter), or even when some of the "Forty something" old chicks came out of the woodwork to talk about how badly they wanted to "molest" "Mr. Wiggles". What pissed me off is that those are the ONLY threads EVER allowed to remain on that forum without being locked or deleted. Every message board needs some mindless postings, every now and again. I just don't think every freakin' thread should fall under that category!!!!!
