He's only huge in the UK among the granny set, because he's over 60 yet looks about 40. You'd be hard pushed to find any male admitting to liking any of his slushy songs.

However, when he was in The Shadows (50's & 60's) it was cutting edge stuff. Hank Marvin was an iconic guitarist.

Btw...I just read this morning that ABBA is getting a museum in Stockholm. It's set to open in 2008. It will have a studio where you can record your own ABBA songs. 370 million albums, still 3 million a year...damn, that's a lot from a world that hated disco so much!

Come now Marty. I'm only 41, not even a mom, much less a granny, & I think Sir Cliff is totally hot. What's more is he has been hot since 1958 & that's a whole lotta hot. Even if he is 66, I'd do him & he's the only man of that age I'd consider.

Guys, u do know him. Remember Xanadu(ooh-ooh)? Ok bad memory but hey, ELO was involved too, so Cliff isn't totally to blame.

"We Don't Talk Anymore" which charted at #7 in 79 in the US & "Carrie" are real classics by Sir Cliff IMHO. He deserves credit for charting continually (albeit only in the UK charts) for 58 freaking years. He's done numbers w/Janet Jackson, Sarah Brightman, Olivia Newton-John, Phil Everly, Van Morrison & Elton John (another Sir) to name a few.

No.

No, I'll be belting out "Show Me The Way To Go Home" with a light Robert Shaw Jaws backbeat after a night of that torture.
