I agree that no singer can fill Perry's shoes but I've been to see the band with Jeff and he is doing a great job. He ripped out a great soulful "Only The Young" and that was me won over. He's not trying to be or sound like Perry like Steve A tried to.

I remember posting, way back when this tape issue was being leaked, "Oh what a tangled web we weave, etc." Using the tapes was the beginning but an underhanded attempt at undermining the reputation of the person involved, has no doubt thrown a wrench in the machinery of their plans. It was utter stupitity to make one person the fall guy. If this had not been initiated, by one rabid fan, their plans may have evolved in a no comment, lets move on attitude, as they are attempting now.
As it is, one person's honor is on the line and this maybe costing them, as it should. It could have been avoided. Still, within this thread, posters are attacking him and probably digging Journey's hole deeper, imo. How utterly ignorant to publicly stone one person when all involved are at fault. His inflections are an inextricable part of what makes Journey Journey.
To his credit, Augeri tried when he could.
