If any major touring rock star of the '70s and '80s were to say they never used drugs I'd suspect they were lying. It was just part of the life and almost expected of them.

Let me ADD my 2 cents here.....I don't HATE Mr. Perry...I was just pissed (like everyone else that's followed Journey over the years) that he brought this band to a standstill in 1987, came back in '95/96 and WALKED AWAY again! I guess what I'm trying to say here is that, as an artist/musician (if you can still consider him that), he's a major DISAPPOINTMENT in my eyes...but hey..who gives a shit about the fans...right?

I am a huge Perry fan, with that being said, I found the Q&A a little lackluster. Basically the same questions and the same answers. To me, it seems the solo re-issues arent selling as well as they thought, perhaps the interview should have been done BEFORE or just after the release.
He is a perfectionist, his own worst critic. I think there may be something come from him, but it will be when HE is ready to release it. And you can bet it wont be like the JUNK that is playing on the radio now.
It is obvious he has a woman in his life (and I am happy he does, makes for better writing) but unfortunately she is whispering "save the chimps Stevie". He use to be on the Make A Wish band wagon. Geezus, chimps over children, come on Steve it is only a pussy cat!!!
