Okay, I am finally coming out of lurking mode.

I am heeding Deano's advice to begin posting prior to attending the West Coast party, so you all will sort of know me! Got my tickets today, and here I come!

I'm just a Journey fan from Texas! My hubbie is a firefighter (hence the screen name), and I work in the health profession. I've been a Journey fan for 25 years..........but never been to the Bay Area, so here is the perfect opportunity! I'm looking forward to it! Especially the party!

Grey Goose, anyone?

For those coming in from out of state, Walnut Creek is about 20 minutes from Oakland and at least a Half Hour to 40min from SF. So be sure to allow yourself an extra day or so to go sight-seeing if that is your plan. Walnut Creek is a nice little suburb town with some good dining spots, but not much else to do or see in town. Just FYI :wink:

I just called my oldest daughter, and she hadn't had the chance to get to the box office, so she is calling Grandma to get on the phone to get the tix. Hopefully I will know more later tonite.

I'm thinking we may stay through Sunday. Dean will get back to everyone this evening I imagine. Looks like the hotel will be 78.00 a night.

I'm a nurse & married to a cop. Hubby wants to change careers now, so, according to him, he can sit on his ass like my brother in the station (yeah right, lol) & cook & eat all night! LOL!!! j/k

I told all you suckholes I would ferry each and every one of you from Oakland A/P and Amtrak and I will. i don't want to do SFO, BUT, if you need to be a pain in the ass and fly into SFO so be it.

Anyone who needs a ride, feel free to PM your itinerary so I can work out a routing.

Sallee, you need to tell me if you are coming into Martinez, Emeryville or oakland on #11. Your call. MTZ is prolly the easiest.

At least you threw in that I was cool.......and I enjoyed the pat down! :twisted:

We will have to fly in to SFO because of scheduling conflicts on the return flight Sunday...but we will rent a car so you don't have to drive into SF. So, if people need a ride in from SFO, we can probably shuttle them....not that I will have the first clue of where I am going. :shock:
