"Arrival" is "fluffy" compared to "Trial by Fire"? You are kidding, right?

I heard it at some of the shows I went to in early July and thought it was great! Of course by the time November came along that song was scratched from the setlist.

TBF might have more ballads, but for some odd indefinable reason, they come off a whole lot less schmaltzy.
Something indefinable about it (perhaps Perry's sincere vocals, or just better lyrics).
Nothing on "Trial by Fire" makes me nearly as embarassed to be a Journey fan as "I'm not that Way" or "With Your Love".
It's like a poor man's N'Sync.

I'm sure you've been told already, but I gotta say- Your statement is absurd!!
Jeff has every right to sing any friggin' song he wants! Most people here do not "hate SA's guts." Maybe some are ambivalent, some like him and some don't, but most do not hate him.

By the way, how the fuck do you see Arrival as Ruling? Arrival was bland as Vanilla ice cream.
Fucker, you flying out to Frisco? Do it, you have bank. Hit up Jestor, that fucker has airline tickets.
Bro, Lori is having surgery Thursday that week or I would.
Still love Signs of Life, To Be Alive Again, Higher Place a lot. There is some crap on the disc, but when I came up with that name, I was just happy to have Journey back. Cut it to AR because of how it all ended, but that doesn't change the fact that I liked the Arrival album. I play that much more than TBF.

Thats why i made that statement. As you can tell im pro Augeri, and It might have been bad idea to join here. This is an interesting site and I enjoy some of the posts and open uncensored dissusions. As far as Jeff singing Faith, he can sing anything he wants, I just dont personnally like the idea.I do cedit Steve for helping Journey continue theses last eight years. That I wont take back.I ll try to think before I rant next time, although I cant promise that. peace ??

All opinions and thoughts are welcome here. You have to expect that not everyone will agree, all the time with your's....you will have to stand up for your opinions and fight for them sometimes, have a thick skin at times.....but nothing is ever that serious, alot done in fun! This is a fun bunch of good people, we're all Journey fans. Enjoy and welcome to MR!!
I dont think is was terriable,he had trouble, and I saw the inhaler, but i heard him sing.I heard Steve sing in Sailsbury Md on Nov 16 2005, right after they had a break from the Generations tour.I had 3rd row ,and he sang every freaking note right in in front of me.I am a musician, and keyboard player,I know damn well what I heard and saw was live in Salisbuey Md was for real. They did 3 songs from Generatiins. Why would he fake that?bufordt9 wrote:stevew2 wrote:Yes I did, I heard, but never saw what really went down with what happened.I tried to check it out recently, but I havent been able to get the clips supporting all the stuff that has been said. Stevew....I was at the concert too....wasn't it terrible...he could hardly sing.. and did u see him go behind the paino and use his inhaler....he was definitely live there, but in Nov. 05 I saw him the the HOB in Myrtle Beach and that was all taped...every song sounded just like the CD...every note was right on, no voice cracking or squeaking....and when I saw thme in June 05 in San Diego it was the same thing....
