No amount of stomping your/mine/our feet is going to make this happen any quicker. And "unloading" is a sure fire way not to get things done.

So just be patient - like myself - and hope that the complexities in this situation are unravelled ASAP for the good of this band and their fans.

How about if I hold my breath 'til I'm blue in the face? No? Oh well, ditch that idea then. :P

I wish the hold out was thinking about the band and the fans instead of his humble, gracious, sweet self.

Sherrie - have you considered the possibility that Augeri is so humble that Journey are trying to pay him more than he is willing to accept? Er...maybe not...

Have you considered the possibility that you could be wrong about all this and Augeri stays - not exactly many pointers to JSS being part of the band over at the official band site - they've said JSS is touring vocalist but not changed the pictures of the band on every page yet have they??????

Same thing happening over D. Leppards forum? A friend of the band, Gordon who has produced some excellent reports in the past, has been prevented from posting part 2 of a feature he has recently written. Somebody suggests the reason why. What does everybody think. Look at the posts from the last 2 weeks and make your own minds up?

http://forum.defleppard.com/viewtopic.p ... 644#116644

They decided to put Gordons part 2 of the Journey/ Def Leppard tour on hold for 'Editing' reasons. It is obvious he had made reference to who Journey's new lead singer is and what the situation is.Talk about bullshitting the fans. Gordon was shit hot with his reports in the past. You would normally see 2 and 3 part features posted within days of each other. His 8 part Japan tour was posted between Nov 20th 2002 and Nov.26th 2002. Work that out for yourselves.

I read that first diary entry before it was taken back down, there was nothing earth shattering or suspicious about Journey in there. He did report how much he liked their set, & made some jokes, but that was about it.

My friend Lynn sat & talked with Gordon too for quite a while between Journey & DL's sets (while I stood in the f'ing long line at the ladies room!), nothing earth shattering there either.

I read it as well, nothing mind blowing there. I highly doubt the delay in Gordon's diary entry has anything to do with Journey.

ahh yes, I recall that line. I didnt even bother.

Well, I was with the group of people he had drinks with before the concert. ( yea- those "Florida fans" that he mentioned) He didn't say anything then either. But then again- he hadn't spent any time really with DL- let alone the people in the Journey camp.
Does make one wonder though- his diary entrys are usually posted shortly after the fact. We're over a month later- something must have been said/written that can't be posted.......... 8)

True, & probably just has something to do with his involvement with DL, & absolutely nothing to do with Journey. Just a guess of course . It's not for us to know, lol.

I still think people are reading too much into that stuff. It could be something as simple as a hint of a new album from Lepp and they want to confirm the info before it's posted.

I dont know nor do I really care. It'll get posted when the time is right. ;)

I'm sure you're absolutely correct in your summation. It's not like it has any video/audio content, biography, discography, tour dates or anything like that and you're absolutely right they do sell merchandise (hell these guys might be making a living out of all this - hadn't thought about that).

I'm sure that after 6 months of JSS taking temporary vocal duties they'd wait another month or two to announce the confirmation of JSS position. Interesting he's mentioned as a friend of the band in a recent press release not touring vocalist even?

As with everything Journey, no one knows, more importantly, who cares? They've become a buzz kill. They're credibility is zero. They have, as of now, no direction. JSS, in my opinion, is the only "straight shooter" they have. Tapegate proved that. Unfortunately, I doubt he'll ever be rewarded for living out his dream. He's an "end" to a "means." A fill in before the Perry comeback, or more probably, the next "catalog" singer. Without a regime change, they remain doomed to their past. Their management is satisfied just making money off of "faithful" fans. Again, we get fucked. Hell, I'm used to it. See "Red 13" and "Generations." 2 great examples of a band coming apart at the seams. Shit music by a once great band. Perry has to have a "six pack" with all the laughing he's been doing. It's no wonder he lost all that weight.
