O/T Light A Candle For Aids

Postby L~L~L » Wed Dec 13, 2006 9:41 am

Please, please take a minute to "light a candle":

Please, take a few seconds to repost this so that the word can get out to as many people as possible.
Today, Bristol-Myers Squibb, the pharmaceutical monolith that charges nearly $1,000 for a 30 day supply of one of its HIV/AIDS medications, is donating $1 to the National AIDS Fund for each person who simply visits their website and "virtually lights a candle." The tally is over 900,000 now.

I don't work for a drug company or in the medical profession at all, for that matter but I'm sure those that do work for the major drug companies are no worse on average than doctors are. Greediness is a human problem, not a drug company problem.

Very scary how little they really care, despite things like this that make them seem like they are helping in some way. Sorry but 13 years of seeing what drug companies TRULY are about has left me bitter as hell.

Yeah, they are evil. Keeping all these people alive (old and young) with their drugs, draining social security by lengthening life expectancy. You'd think more people would choose to not buy the new drugs and die sooner like they did 20,50, 100 years ago. But no everyone wants to live longer. And they're making a profit, EVIL
