and seem to be VERY pleased, here's my next
choice for you and one of my current fave bands.
Breaking Benjamin
Alittle heavy but VERY melodic, catchy hook-driven
stuff. I HIGHLY recommend their debut
Saturate that features powerful cuts such as
Home, Natural Life, Polyamorous and No Games.
Or, go grab their 3rd and latest dish, Phobia.
This gem will have you going bonkers to great tracks like
Diary of Jane, Breath, Evil Angel, Until the End...
While their second album, We Are Not Alone
was pretty great and got them radio exposure with
the songs So Cold and Sooner or Later,
I think Saturate and Phobia are the best
of the three.

Great thread, got both the AB and Stapp releases and they're both ace. Really pissed that I missed ABs UK show.

If we're pushing new bands I got a suggestion, (but only if you like your music with tongue firmly in cheek).

Check out Wig Wam... a European glam rock band (remember glam rock). They were No.1 in Norway for 19 weeks last year..sorta like Bon jovi/Poison with Eddie's twiddly guitar thing going on... very catchy and commercial songs. Latest album is the better of the 2 - WigWamania.

Saw them in their first UK show a couple of months back and can honestly say it was the best non-Journey show I've seen in 25 years.

Only one problem I have with Creed...
I have NEVER liked Stapp...
When they came out in the early 90s I thought Stapp was a lackluster, poor-man's Vedder.
And I LOVE Vedder, I don't care what anyone says.
His downfall was getting married...
First 2 albums he was a fucking angry animal!
Then he got married and all that angst dissappeared, along with
alot of the great emotion that drew me to Pearl Jam in the first place.

Anyway, back to Stapp...
Dude is the definition of a prima-donna, whiny bitch
wasting away some serious talent.

Went to a Creed concert in Atlanta.......when they were at their best...before Scott's problems. Was on the floor in front of the stage near the catwalk. It was an awesome concert! The crowd really got into it...everyone in unison in movement and singing. The band sounded great and Scott's vocals were spot on. Too bad he let his demons come back to haunt him.

Ever since I was young, as much as I loved music, I always got
"bored" really quick; I always had to go out and find something
new... In High School I would take my paper-route money
and buy, on average, 4-5 tapes a week. I'd just browse
all the different mags for reviews and then go shopping.
That's how I got hooked on Dream Theater when their debut
came out back in the late 80s. Review said "Cross between
Rush and Queensryche..." I was sold
Or sometimes I'd buy an album just because I thought
the band's name was cool; that backfired ALOT!
But that 'name' theory worked for Korn's debut
and that's also how I discovered the Manic Street Preachers.
After HS and before I got married I was the same way, only with CDs.
I've slowed down alot over the past 4-5 years but I STILL
love finding new, interesting music.
