Andrew, are these announcements normally pre-planned, or do they just 'pop up'?

Don't give up, Andrew. The music industry is a very disfunctional place. Hang in there.

That is is. :?

Who would be silly enough to work fulltime in such an enviroment?

I don't want to shut this forum down, I will wait and see.

I am having 10 days off and while I'll browse occasionally, I don't want to be needed to delete/edit/ban/fix problems over that time.

As much as I love this forum and you great folks, I need a break.

I'll wait and see what happens next week.

Andrew,

I understand your need to vent a little. This whole situation is frustrating. If management is holding things up, well, they should get off their collective asses and get the damn thing done before the holidays really kick in.

As for you closing the forum for Christmas break, that is ok by me. That way, all of us can have a break from the board and really enjoy the Christmas holiday. :D

As much as I will miss seeing what is going on and reading everyone's input, I can totally understand the need for a break. We all need one at points in our lives to prevent the inevitable burnout. Family is most important, and I think we sometimes loose sight of that when we get wrapped up in the passion we all feel for this band. (Even though we may be a bit pissed off at the situation right now. ) I hope you have a great Christmas holiday! The same to everyone here..... :)

That is a good idea, TVL, but for Andrew's sanity, and his family, I would opt to close the board for Christmas break to give him and his mind a break from here. It would give him a stress free Christmas break, and more quality time with the family. :D

Andrew-
Don't worry about venting. Hell, I'm surprised you haven't until now!
This whole situation has gone from crazy to insane, with stops at all points in between. I'm sure even the members of the band are probably at the point of "just get this over with!" by now.

As much as I love hanging here, and goofing around with some that come here- I would totally understand if you felt the need to shut this puppy down for the holidays. Especially if the "announcement" has not been made public before next Friday. After all the BS that you've/we've been through this past year, we all could use some time in the "real world" with loved ones.

I think I can speak for all of us in saying that despite the various words/insults/venom that have been spewed over this board, we all respect your hard work and diligence in keeping this site running. You Sir, have the patience of a Saint!

For myself- I wish you and your family a very safe, happy, and joyous holidays!
Bright Blessings on you all
KC

Well, I guess stranger things have happened. :?

Even though I'm addicted to this place I think I could live if you needed to take the Holidays off. You certainly deserve it after what you've gone though for the last few months.

Congratulations on being one of the cool kids NIG. Some are happy here where people actually disagree and debate with each other. Can't imagine any of that going on over there.
