I got a little bored of the BT forum and the "Let's give it up for___________" threads, etc. I found little substance over there.

I came here as a lurker a couple of years ago looking for new info on Lou Gramm.

What IS he up to anyway? His new album was supposed to come out ages ago.

Hope you feel better soon Nora.

I didn't join a message board until I saw Journey again in June. Did a search for Journey...went to BT first.......boring...have never posted there. Kept looking and found MR...looked like a place where I could freely express myself...so I joined in. 8)

Lurked around a bit before I started posting.
This site was mentioned on Def Leppard's site and on BT so I was intrigued.

Everyone here has been cool. (even Melissa)

Hope you get to feeling better soon Nora.

Thanx, guys... 8)

It's the STUPID WEATHER here in CT....60 DEGREES TODAY!

Last year at this time, it was "normal" ~ 26 degrees.

Made the mistake of trying to rehearse last night ~ Mark said if I didn't feel up to it, don't worry; they'd just rehearse with out me.

Of course, you KNOW what happened....they all showed up; I said OK, I'll just play Keyboards and shut up.....nope....just HAD to push myself and sing.....

When I first got online MR.com was one of the first music sites I found. I didn't pay much attention to the forums back then so I didn't sign up right away. I did sign up later (I think around Arrival's Japanese release) and posted a little...but there was little action. Then, when VH1 got shut down all the fighting moved over here. Been here every since...

I read MelodicRock.com for about a year or two before I discovered the forums. I signed up just to post in the Journey forum about the Shy - Sunset & Vine CD because I love it so much. Then some guy named Rockn'Deano's posts were so crazy to read that I was hooked.

Thanks...you too...freak! LOL!
Oh & let me just thank you in front of everyone too for getting us front row tics for the CA show coming up! YAAAAAY!!! lol

Ok back to the question...found this from Jeff's site, which I frequented after seeing Jeff with Journey for the first time back in July. Lurked for a while, loved the senses of humor here, even the twisted ones, lol. I've been a fan of Jeff's since before all this, but never got to see him live until this year with Journey. I read BT too, but when I tried to join I got a "not accepting new registrations" message  . So here I am, lol.

When I got my first computer (1999?) I Google searched for rock info sites. Between that and some articles I read on various other sites, I wound up coming here.
I did originally sign up to the forums too- but never bothered to post until this past summer. The fact that I had remembered the password I'd signed up with still amazes me!

Another refugee from the "official" Journey board. I am not sure if I found out about this place when Journey had their old forum on "JourneyTheBand.com" or soon after it switched to "JourneyMusic.com" with BT. Like others, too much fluff and not enough substance over there. Not to mention, to much control over what is allowed to be said/discussed. Found this place to be great with alot more free discussion. Not to mention getting info on the happenings of other bands I liked back in the day. Great site for any fan of the 70s, 80's and early 90s rock music. I have recommended this place to several friends. Not many of them take the time to post, but they all love the news (front) page. 8)

I tried to remember where we first heard of this board PF, but I honestly can't remember. I knew of Andrew from somewhere long before I knew of this board. I used to email him questions to help me with VH1 arguments. He would always answer and he even posted on there a couple times because of questions I asked, but my memory just totally fails me on the details.

HEY 'Drew, can you help me out here? :?

I used to post quite often on BT & heard about MR & PV from posters there. I checked out this forum in '05 & frankly was turned off by some of the stuff - I just tend to ignore what I don't like - but, the freedom of expression is greater here & there is some intelligent discussion & I've learned more about the technical side of music. Not until the "tapegate" broke did I come back to find out what was going on...and I appreciated the open-ness to finding out the truth instead of squashing it.
And, being a "Perry lover" (as well as Journey lover) there is more discussion here on him than BT....also this forum doesn't get hung up on bootlegs or youtube or other site mentions - WHICH I LOVE to see/hear. And, I admit I have laughed from some MR posts, avatars & pics (I'm still laughing about the "expired marshmallows")!
