MR Talent Showcase

Postby Blueskies » Sat Dec 16, 2006 10:03 am

I did a thread like this back in July. The downloads are long expired....so....thought I'd start a new one.

There are alot of singers and musicians that post here. This is a thread to link or post a download of some of your work...if so inclined....let us hear what you sound like.....or....if you've got something new since last time. There are alot of new people here to check out your talent!
Come on people...don't be shy
singers, guitarists ( lead, bass ), drummers, violins, tubas ( ha! ) Whatever it is you play ,sing, or do!
Post up and get some feedback! Last time there was some great stuff.

I've sung Faithfully live before, but it wasn't recorded. However, we also did Jump! on which I played the drums. Man, I'll have to see if I can find that one! That was fun! :)

Thanx, TVL...and thank you so much for your nice comments in my "ProTool" thread!

OK:

Here is the first song I ever wrote, which is the Title-Track to "11th House".

Let me know what you think:

No fucking way, you have an account over there. You want to hear it, go for it. ME singing any Journey really doesn't need a worldwide audience.

Maybe we should substitute "song" for "Journey" in the sentence above? Oh & delete "worldwide". It's superfluous.

Hey there... 8)

Yes, I did....it was very "life-altering" stuff I went thru....and also, it was my little way of paying tribute to Steve...if it wasn't for him and his talent inspiring me, I wouldn't be a singer.

Um....I didn't do the whole song...

It was verses / choruses of "Breathe", "Black Velvet", and "Hit Me With Your Best Shot".

Like I said, it was done in the late 90s....IMO my voice is a lot stronger now....I kinda had a ":x" look on my face when I heard the whole thing.

Oh I must have missed u saying u only did the verses / choruses, sorry. I need to pay more attention :-) I dunno Nora. Ur voice is pretty strong on that & very very pretty to listen to. I'd love to hear u do some other covers or non-Trag stuff. Got any?

Hey, Alex and Welcome! 8)

That was EXCELLENT! Loved the arrangement, your drumming (reminded me of Stewart Copeland), the production, and your Singer....full, powerful voice right up till the end...she reminded me of "The Motels" lead singer.

GOOD LUCK TO YOU!!

C'mon AR, I'd love to hear it. It's not like we're talking about professionals here, with the exception of Jeremey and Tragck and possibly a few others. It's all in good fun. :)
