If Andrew is going to give out awards to Journey Troll then he certainly needs to give one to people that really deserve it...and this is one of the posts that gets an AMEN award!!! I'm getting bored with the people on here that say they are fans but they pick their friends....literally to pieces! if you are a friend of Journey then you show them respect and you show your friends on here some respect!!! 8)

Well, I was hoping for the 'shameless' award, but I'll take it!!! I just hope it doesn't put me in the same category with JourneyTroll!!!

Not anymore - so you ready to bend over?

A vocal God would still be performing and not be a chicken shit. Yes, he WAS amazing. The guys like Joe Lynn Turner, Ronnie James Dio, Glenn Hughes, etc, that still perform at a high level in their 50's are vocal Gods. Fuck, Dio is pushing 70.

Owned bitch!

Perry WAS one of the best, but he is a puss. The aformentioned singers can still bring it.

AR - I'm with you all the way about Dio. He is one of the all-time greats and I've never felt the guy is past it or that he should 'let it go' and retire.

But Turner and Hughes - although highly talented singers - were nearly men even in their heyday and were never at Perry's level. Joe Lynn Turner seems a bit of a sad figure to me.....pouting and preening around in his 50s wearing heavy make-up to hide his age and still with that dated hair playing Ritchie Blackmore's songs in tiny clubs to a dwindling audience.

Whereas it's the big leagues or nothing for Perry. And there's nothing pussy about that.

Perry is "stupid, boring and predictable?" We'll see about that this Spring.

Perry will either make a major announcement or have some new music by then. The PR machine is already in motion.

i think saint john is pretending to be a "fortune teller." if something happens next spring, it'll be a coincidence. fun to think about though.

I say what I say partly due to information, and yes, partly because I am being a "fortune teller." I've been pretty candid about that.

What information? Based on his recent interview? Inside information? Please elaborate. I pray you are right. It's now or never.

I heard a lot of "information" too. Seems it was ALL way wrong.

I'll keep hoping for a new album. But I don't want to be disappointed if it doesn't happen.

To have 'new music', he has to record it, procude it, etc. According to PERRY, he hasn't even STARTED recording anything. He hasn't even TRIED to see what he 'has left'. Even if he started TODAY, he wouldn't be able to get it ready by Spring.

If he makes some kinda 'major announcement', it will be that he cut his hair or he's doing another guest spot for some other band, or he has a new cat. There isn't enough time for anything else.

You have a fantasy...and it's NOT going to turn into reality.

Was it you who said if nothing happens this time that you were officialy giving up? I think you should start eating your words.

Ahhhh...now THAT'S the Monker I know!!! Yes, it was me that said that. Good memory...I'm impressed. I also said that he'll launch a website soon. I stand by that statement too. The World Series kicked off a chain of events that will ultimately culminate with Steve singing again. He's doing things right. He's going slowly, getting into physical as well as emotional shape to see what he can do. When he's ready, we'll hear some great music. If it doesn't happen, oh well. He's left us with enough to last a lifetime. I'm glad he seems happy for the first time in a long time. THAT is what's important.

I have to agree...it has to be now or never that he returns. I think the momentum is now & waiting even another year, well, it just doesn't seem likely. I love SP - he looks & sounds great, but he is nearly 60 yrs old & beyond that age it just won't happen. So, was he really joking to Uncle Joe about getting a band together "soon" or not??

I'm gonna get reamed for this...but, wouldn't it be neat if SP joined Journey for a few shows next year and then JSS took the reins? If there was ever an opportunity for that to happen it would be then...yeah, yeah, I know they aren't speaking...but, that special fondness is still with SP for Neal's artistry and I can't imagine that SP wouldn't just want to be in it once more before they all start fading away for real...then they may have to live with those regrets. I can dream.
