95% of people here don't hate Augeri. There are many here who are his fans. But he lost a lot of respect from a lot of people.

Daza wrote: Oh, I forgot to mention, one member of this forum takes the credit for highlighting the use of tapes.....and....if you criticise the band now....he personally insults you on this forum and issues threats ......when he is drunk. (It might be different now, I don't know)

Wrong. Dean insults people who insult him or bait him. He does not insult anyone who criticizes the band.

Daza wrote: P.S........All of the Augerri haters hate somebody called ....Monker (his avatar is the predator)

Um no, not quite. Monker just likes to stir up an argument, no matter what the topic. He takes the opposite side of any argument going on. I don't think anyone here hates him. But Monker sure hates everything Journey now, even old Journey w/Perry, it seems.

Shouldn't 'The Band' as well as Augerri lost the respect, after all it was a combined effort.

I think they were all doing what they needed to do to keep the gravy train moving.

The band were still able to play their instruments. Obviously they did what they did to help Augeri. Augeri is the one who lipped. He could have said no. He could have stepped down.

& btw, there is one r in Augeri, not 2. If ur his fan, it might behoove u to learn to spell his last name.

I'm so tired of this argument over & over. All anyone has to do is use their brains to figure out what happened.

I'm sorry, that was my small tribute to Airplane II that apparently went over like a lead balloon.

For the first and final time, I will provide proof for all of you that have wondered and questioned the veracity of Augeri's lip-synching/mic-gobbling.

When performing at Sweden Rock Festival, Augeri's lead vocal mic was isolated in pre-production by a festival production crew. It has been discussed many times and blogged about, but up until now there has not been a recording isolating Augeri's vocal mix. I cannot reveal where I obtained this recording, but it should put any final issues to rest. Please listen, then forever hold your peace.

PS: Because this is a Sweden rock festival, Journey DID perform a few cover songs paying tribute to Sweden's rich rock history. It takes a few seconds to recognize Augeri, but this is the actual feed from his wireless mic - Live on stage. Yes, true he was not lip synching, but this is definitely not what the audience heard out front, so let's not muddy the issue with semantics.

There are already enough bloodthirsty Augeri-die hards claiming TapeGate is a hoax and that Dean's evidence was tinkered with.

Posting fake evidence doesn't seem the best idea to me.

Dude, that's not fake evidence. It's a JOKE. It's a girl singing karaoke on today's Opie and Anthony show.

There, just so no one actually believes that this was Steve Augeri.

I got to ease off the subtlety a little.
