Andrew, I have to like this comment from Deen the most:

"Deen Castronovo: "I enjoy Jeff. He's so much fun to watch and he does play off of me, we play off each other which is really cool. And I play off of Neal of course and when Neal's smiling and he's happy I know we're good. You know, if Neal's not happy usually the band's not doing so well. He's content now. I think for the first time in many many years. And it's nice, it's nice to see".

I think for the first time in many many years. Speaks volumes. Again... welcome, Welcome WELCOME Jeff!

That was the quote that resonated most with me as well.

Questions though....one being a solo release for Augeri in 2007. I am a bit confused. HE is out of Journey because of ongoing vocal issues but is putting together a new CD?

I wouldn't. It would either be something old or something doctored.

I actually had no idea about the solo album.

As for the vocal problems...well....umm....I guess to put it best, one can work around issues or whatever in the studio, but a rigerous touring schedule is a much harder task.

Are you kidding me or yourself? There is no solo album coming. Who the Hell is going to sing on it? Certainly not Augeri. IF it is an Augeri record, I bet you all my ball hair that the songs are rehashed shit leftover from the Generations' leftovers. Face it, the best he could do was Butterfly. How the hell is he going to put out a fucking solo album? Jesus, I am going to be sick.

What is wrong with your hearing, dude? He was flawless...I mean 100% "ON" during all but a week of the 30th Tour.

I think he mentioned doing one in his last interview with you.
His solo album will be comprised of his rejected "Generations" tracks that were overridden by Jon and Neal's superior material.

Yup.
What is openly stated in the interview is exciting stuff, but there is some very-telling implicit stuff like the one u just mentioned.

I agree....it does speak volumes when no one bothers to make a simple phone call. How much effort does that require...a few minutes of time? For a friend? Yep....volumes.

I don't blame him actually. Throw some leftovers outthere while your name is still familiar. He has a little core of fans. I'll likely buy it too.

Some of that "little core" were feeling pretty BURNED over the last few months

I think there must be some "save face" in all this

That really caught me too. It's sort of like the old saying "if mama ain't happy, ain't NOBODY happy". I think you can tell by Neal's interview that he's very happy now.

What happened to "all questions will be answered" ? This didn't answer anything. We all knew Jeff was the lead singer the moment he stepped onstage this summer. Big deal. What about the use of taped vocals? Was Steve fired or did he quit? Why such a loooooong delay in the "official' announcement? Nice fluff piece though.
