Time to retire the horse? The band is on their most successful tour in 20 years and even the other tours from the past few years were more successful than most other current day bands. They may not sell albums like they used to but the touring force is still there.

However, Journey remains a viable touring act. More importantly, their fans HAVE embraced change in the past. Augeri was met with a lukewarm response, but nonetheless did allow the band to continue reaping decent profits. That "Journey" ran its course. Neal and Co. now realize that it's time to head into a new direction. A more modern sound with JSS. Of course the "core sound" will remain but they'll reinvent themselves. They have the players, and more importantly, the outlets (TV, live appearances, interviews, management backing, etc.) to do so. Augeri's vocal issues kept them under the radar for quite some time. That time has passed. The only thing that should be retired is your posting privileges. This "old horse" just got a new jockey, fucker!!!
