That being the complete Journey discography, the complete Boston discography, the complete Van Halen discography, some Van Morrison, some Doors, some Kansas, some Styx, some AC/DC, some 38 Special, a whole lot of Aerosmith, Creed, a huge amount of Def Leppard, Eagles, Pantera, a bunch of Rush, I love Rush. Pink Floyd, Metallica, Metallica, Metallica, Ozzy, Nirvana, Led Zeppelin, then some tracks from other great groups. I luv's me some rock and roll!!!
Journey is and always will be NUMBER ONE! I think that may be partially due to my experience in 1981 when I went to the Escape concert with one gorgeous woman that made me smile very brightly that night. It was just a few days from their recording of the DVD. Great show, great seats, great lady, great finish.

didnt read no KISS...comon ..

Wow, that question, no. Should have. Lost contact, she overdosed years later and didn't survive. I was shocked. She got in with the wrong crowd, and you can guess the rest of the story. I still get choked up when I hear certain Journey songs. She was a great girl, she deserved better. Don't let this down the forum, life isn't permanent.

This is JSS and Neal Schon 'Believe in Me'
Excellent!

This one is a VERY catchy song, just like every Journey song is.
I would definitely love a similar sounding album with Journey and JSS!

If Neal and Jeff are this inspired when they write together,I expect to hear some great tunes in 2008. 8)

Monker doesn't like anything.........

Hmm, what music do I like. The five CD's in my car are:

Styx: Big Bang Theory
Styx: One With Everything
Tommy Shaw: Seven Deadly Zens
Two Fires - Two Fires
Disc 2 thaBirtles/Shorrock/Goble's Full Circle DVDt I dubbed form

So, there's some things I like.

I am still amazed in your taste at this one.
What's your fave song off it, if I may ask?

Well two points.

1) Monker is obviously lying, because a) he definitely doesn't have a CD player in his car, and b), I seriously doubt he even has a fucking car.

2) Notice this thread was a good one, until he entered it, and now about 6-10 people have had to go off on Monker, thus derailing the thread. I say to all of you, IGNORE the piece of shit completely. Simply do not even respond to his bullshit.

By being this much of a complete asshole, I seriously don't think Andrew is going to care if we rip him one, but I would just as soon not bother Andrew at all.

I listened to this CD about 3-4 times and can't even unload it on half.com....anyone want to take it off my hands? Go to half.com.

I think Believe in Me is "okay". I think the potential is definitely there for some great writing/great hooks but it needs to be a LOT better than Believe in Me to meet Journey standards of a great song.....

There's simply no accounting for taste! Enjoy SA's solo CD but don't hold ur breath!

Meanwhile, I'll keep enjoying Jeff's work, a man who can sing!

The song is ....ok.... pretty standard AOR fayre really.... nothing to elevate it to classic status... the sort of thing that Scandinavian AOR bands have continued to churn out constantly over the past 20 yrs... in an attempt to keep the melodic rock flag flying. Jeff just doesnt have a "distinctive" enough voice really..its ok... does the job... but hasnt got that certain something.... Journey will have to rely solely on the standard of the song writing now.... Whereas Perry could make an average song sound great, it will be harder to get away with "so so" song writing now!! I hope the new Journey rises to the challenge!!

That's exactly what I thought...and I think that song completely sucks.

This is why I will never care about anything you say about Journey. I think that song is the closest anything has ever come to sounding like a Journey song since Journey themselves in the 80's.

No, JSS doesn't sound the same as Perry, but attitude, production quality, melodic content, killer hooks and vibe, positive emotion and energy, high caliber performances....

and you think that song sucks! I don't think I could possibly like the same music as you. Strange we could both be Journey fans. I think you might be lying through your teeth just to stir the pot.

If Journey will sound like that, and still be able to deliver the classics, the GOOD. Very good, in fact!
