Serious it sucks Mike is not there
What the hell are they thinking? Wolfie gonna help write some songs about LIFE? LOL! Do you think the Mike thing is in retaliation for hanging and playing with Sammy all winter in Cabo?
Maybe Sam Mike & Dave can recruit a great guitarist and a drummer and hit the road although the Van Halen Guitar & Drum sounds are very unique! I'd go if they hit the road! Maybe pick up Joe Satriani and Bonzo JR!

WOLFGANG JOINS HIS DAD IN VAN HALEN:
A lot of speculation and a lot of new updates are now appearing in relation to the Van Halen alive again in 2007 news started here a couple of weeks back.
Late last week celeb gossip site TMZ.com posted news of the band and who would play bass. Today G4TV ran a quote from band publicist Janie Liszewski confirming that news.
I called Liszewski for a confirmation of these comments. She happily obliged, stating that yes, Wolfgang Van Halen was the band's new bassist, suggesting that this wasn't news, as it was stated as such on Howard Stern by Eddie Van Halen in September.
She also confirmed that the Van Halen trio - Eddie, Alex and Wolfgang were 'busy in the studio, rehearsing and writing'. The rehearsing of course is for the aforementioned 2007 tour that the band's management are currently shopping to prospective promoters.
No confirmation as yet of the vocalist for next year's Van Halen tour - but as stated in my original report, David Lee Roth is the singer that is being included in the package offered to concert promoters. I'm told Roth has not yet visited the Van Halen's in the studio.
I won't be wasting my money. Will any of you?

Fuck NO.
well the cars came back and had to be called the NewCars but Journey is hitting the road relying on there dirty dozen so to me thats just a tribute band now people really are into the Perry years and thats what Neals is giving them ...so far..NealSchonFan53 wrote:I agree that this Van Halen is an overpriced tribute band....
....but disagree about Journey. Consistent lineup changes have always been a part of the band, and besides, it's in their name anyway. The band's career has been a "Journey" to where they are today and where they'll be tomorrow.
Van Halen without Mike, though.... that's weeeeeeeird.
she'd be wise to ...you don't want a "LIke Father like son " thing going on and it's true he will get a beating on the road by the fans..atticus wrote:Regarding Wolfie, do you guys think that Valerie is gonna let him go on tour with a drunken father,a singer known for his exploits and millions of pissed off fans waiting to heckle him?
I just have a feeling she's gonna put an end to this.
atticus wrote:I still thinks the man has lost it or it's some sort of gimmick to get publicity.I can't picture Wolfie singing Mike's harmonies and riffs.Hell Wolfie couldn't even play "316" from the F.U.C.K album that great. And those tapes could be from 1978 for all we know.Either way, it's still funny seeing Eddie saying he doesnt wanna be a novelty act and now it's exactly what he's turned his band into.I'm just gonna sit back and watch this thing crumble 3 shows into the tour.

well if the apple doesn't fall far from the tree then he'll be a fucking punk just like his old man!!punch wrote:atticus wrote:I'm just gonna sit back and watch this thing crumble 3 shows into the tour.
I can see Wolfgang getting heckled/booed and Ed throwing a hissy fit and ending the show; that'll go on for about 2 or 3 shows before he cancels the tour altogether saying it was the fans' fault for doing that. Actually ironic when you consider that Wolfgang is probably the one who talked Ed into doing all this.
NealIsGod wrote:But Wolfie could probably chug iced tea from a JD bottle just as well as Mike.
