I think there's been some talk of that being a contractual thing. He had to put out another CD and this is what they came up with.

I thought Trial By Fire was the "contractual obligation" but I could be wrong. They probably BOTH were. I thought Herbie had said that TBF was just Perry's way of obligating an existing contract and that Herbie knew when it WAS obligated he would opt out of touring....fucking the band, fans and Sony.

I remember that too St John, but it was also said about +5. In fact, I think it may have even been mentioned in a Perry interview, but I can't swear to that.[/quo
