That person, fry wings, or whatever he calls himself, has a one-track mind and nothing u say or do will even budge him one bit...You are both wasting your time and breath on him..his mind cannot compute what u are saying...you need to have an I.Q. above 100 to understand what u are trying to tell him.

BTW, thanks to everyone who helped Andrew with all that work....It was kind and considerate of all involved....

Uh...yeah.

Well, I guess that's something of an improvement on your typical responses to me. I believe the last one was "Fucktard".

Yeah. I better get to work on my I.Q....

In other words: PLAYED.

If that's not clear to you then I'm not sure where you've been.

I've been right here seeing clearly what was really happening instead of hanging out in the Egyptian river.

At the time of the interviews the only ones who KNEW that the decision was made were Journey and the people they personally chose to tell. Andrew didn't know he was going to be asked to hold the interviews until after they'd been transcribed. He was hoping to get them up on the front page the next week. That's why he needed help getting them done. Nothing was leaked from the interviews to anyone by anyone. Dean and TNC already knew what the decision regarding Augeri was going to be but they didn't get the info from the interviews. Nothing was done by Andrew in an insinuating or in-you-face manner. No one was played at all. That's just your way of trying to skew people's perception of the situation in order to justifying your unjust indignation.

And by the way, if I want to hear latin pop music I'll listen to the Miami Sound Machine. I want Journey to sound like Journey.

The Nile...? De Nile... Denial! It took me a minute but I GOT it! See there - my I.Q. must not be as low as some people say.

You're the one rowing frantically up that river.

You want to know when I KNEW that JSS was in and SA was out? Weeks ago when Andrew responded to Rich HERE on MR. That's right. In the heat of battle Rich made a smug comment that certain people will be surprised to find out who will really be fronting the band. Within the context of that thread he was insinuating SA. Andrew snidely responded something like, "That's a laugh." I immediately interjected that it was now official. That Andrew's response was CRYSTAL CLEAR.

Andrew made this response DESPITE being asked to HOLD the interviews which were hyped to be the tell-all interviews. It's funny because after I responded to the thread he clammed up and no one - I mean NO ONE challenged my statement that what he said in that thread WAS THE OFFICIAL WORD. I don't think anyone picked up on it at all!

I don't have to have an I.Q. of 100 to get that. I simply need to be rowing my boat gently down the stream...

I'm not skewing anything for the sake of my indignation. I'm a fan who was PLAYED. Plain and simple. Of course you can't recognize this because you were on the team of players.

I'm not losing any sleep over it so there's no need to try to convince me otherwise. I appreciate your trying to set things straight but like my old, yellow and crooked teeth - it's too late.

I think I knew July 6th... when JSS steped up and Journey did not have to cancel the whole tour...
duh!!! I think that just sunk the ship for Augeri... kinda like what Favre did to Majik mand up in Green bay back 16 years ago... took over the riegns of QB agains cincy in 1992----and never sat down again...

Well, I think I made myself QUITE clear in my initial posting that by relevant, I mean musically relevant. For the record, musically relevant, in my world, means more than just playing greatest hits tours and actually recording CD's that people purchase. The reality is that Journey hasn't had a single release of theirs chart in the top 50, since Steve Perry left the band. That is a FACT that cannot be disputed, by anyone! As far as I'm concerned, that makes them quite irrelevant in today's music world.

Journey is a band that does ZERO promotion and has horrendous management, who either doesn't know how to or simply has no interest in marketing them, as a band of today. Perhaps, part of that was the Augeri debacle, so time will tell if Jeff's addition to the band will change this. All I know is that as of today, most people outside of the world of Journey forums, on the internet, have no idea that Journey even still exists! Hell, I've seen people posting on this very board, who said they didn't know until 2004 that Journey was still together, and this was 6 years after they supposedly "got back together"! I think you're beyond naive if you believe Journey is relevant (again, musically speaking), beyond the world of these forums, and the old fogies like us, who attend concerts and try to re-live 1983! I don't listen to Beyonce Knowles, but, I know who she is, and that's because she falls into the category of being musically relevant, in 2006!

I didn't miss your "musically relevant".

I guess for me they're music is relevant regardless of your world. How many "musically irrelevant" bands have their songs played as World Series chants 25 years after? AWYWI was used recently in car commercials, too.

No. They're not relevant in the sense that you've imposed upon them but their name and back catalog are certainly relevant NOW. I don't think you can dismiss that. I think it's something they have yet to capitalize on.

Not a lot people can do about what has already happened - JSS is in, Augeri is out. Andrew and the proof-readers did not disclose anything. That's a laugh is not a statement. Let's all just get on with it, accept what's happened cause we can't change it and look to the future.

I dont have a problem with how it was handled. Clearly it was the members of Journey that were holding the announcement up. Some of us were impatient, others just wanted to KNOW. I'm of the latter. I knew, but I wanted it to be official. No offense to Augeri, but after it was proven he was lip synching, I had zero respect for the guy...much like Ashlee Simpson. She may have changed her looks, but she STILL can't sing.

Lets get on with life now, shall we?

Might as well lose respect for the whole band then. I can't imagine they were all standing there playing there instruments not knowing Mr. Augeri was moving his lips to a tape. 8)
