No, they didn't sign up for this. Who the Fuck signs up in America to protect Iraq? You have got to be kidding me? I WAS a US soldier and and am proud of my service, but there is NO way.....NO FUCKING way my son goes to fight for this fucking administration. No way. Call me a fucker, but let me ask you all with kids an honest question.

Would you send your loved ones into batle for this administration?

Dean,

I don't think anyone "sends" their loved ones to battle. These men & women joined the military knowing that they could be called up at any time. Travis left for boot camp 10 days after Desert Shield started, and I was terrified (I was young and ignorant about lots of things then...some could say I still am!).

If my son chose to enlist, I would support him, but I know I would be scared to death!

I do support President Bush, because I think he did what he did for an honorable reason. I know there are lots of people that disagree with that, but I guess I'm a Virginia Republican through and through (for the record, though, I don't vote Republican just because it's Republican. I vote for whoever I feel most confidence in. Hell, I voted for Ross Perot twice!!! :? )

I still love ya, Deano, even if I don't agree with you!

That argument confuses the administration with the will of this nation. The Admins. doesn't declare war by itself, Congress and the Senate are part of our representative governments. Some people think we are just poking a sleeping tiger over there, but we were the ones provoked and now we have to keep fueling the fight OVER there (we took the fight to them) to keep them over there.
Our argument is sound, keep them off of our soil. People want peace in America. We are forcing Al Qaeda and all kinds of terrorist types of organizations from Iran, Egypt, Afghanistan, Iraq, and other extremists groups...we are forcing them to expend their resources in Iraq. By doing that we are keeping their money tied up, their brain child, their planners..... and keeping them from executing attacks in America.

Dude, I NEED to get my facts straight? RIP Gerry, but if this guy was so fucking great, why did he get trounced by none other than Jimmy Carter?

Yeah, you make great points. Face it, your party sucks.

He got trounced because at the time the nation was angry over Nixon. Regardless of party, a former president died. That deserves some respect.

Peace to all.

He got beat because he pardoned Nixon and that's the only reason. Besides that, I never said he was the greatest President to ever walk the earth. I was simply refuting your point, which was done rather easily, I might add.

As usual, you're all huff and puff. When you can't win the argument, simply obfuscate and name call in an attempt to run from the facts.

Are you speaking of a level headed citizen, or the Commander in Chief that lied to the World on the UN floor (Res 1441)????

Bush is the Traitor of which you speak of. Just think. 2,000 + soldiers died....because of a lie. But it's all good when you wrap yourself up in Stars and stripes and tie a yellow ribbon around your tree, and slap a "Support the troops sticker on the back of your SUV. Yeah, it's all good until it's YOUR turn to go. Then it becomes quite different. Bush, Cheney, Wolfowitz, Hannity, all these Pro War assholes....not ONE of these guys had the balls to go fight for what they believe in.

good debates and good points being made by both sides of the issues on this and the saddam thread.....problem is those who believe their point is the only correct one and close off to others....keeping an open mind and an open ear to opposing viewpoints is the only way any real resolution will ever come about. 8)

Do you think we could do a "two-fer" on Bush and Cheney? Like impeach one (Bush) and the other one (Cheney) gets impeached at the same time? (Is it "two-fer" or something else?) I guess there's hope: Agnew resigned shortly before he (Nixon) was tossed out... I can barely stand to think of another year+ of this, these, *******s in power...
