Journey songs played Live

Postby zino » Sat Dec 30, 2006 12:17 am

Can we come up with a list of what songs have never been played live by Journey before?

We know that most of TBF has never been played except for

Message Of Love
One More
When You Love A Women
Castles Burning
Can't Tame The Lion

Probably nothing off of Dream After Dream either

They probably didn't do all the songs from ROR either.

Just curious

Actually, part of Moon Theme off of Dream After Dream was used a lot as an intro to Wheel In The Sky back in the day.

Good Morning Girl is one I have never heard but would have LOVED to have.

They actually did do a wonderful acoustic version of Trial By Fire (followed by Liberty) on most Under The Radar dates.

I've heard them do "If He Should Break Your Heart" at least once, as well as "Trial By Fire".

CRL was kind enough to send me "Little Girl" live in Osaka, Japan. I think it's the only known live recording of it. Here it is.

ONE MORE-

Sounds very lean. This was Augeri's first show, so he was understandably shaky.

Just Home watching the Wishbone Navy try to attack BC.

I've got Red13, World Play, Generations, and FTLOSM on shuffle...things are cool.

Damn, that One More '98 is FILTHY. Love it.

Wonder who did the whisper "Wicked Prophets" part at the beginning as it's Punxatawney Steve on the album...Unless in a harbinger of coming days they piped it it...

Now how about tossing up Live And Breathe for JeremyP....it's the DeTour boots.

I may be wrong

Postby NCscarab » Sun Dec 31, 2006 10:48 am

Has the band ever performed Good Morning Girl from the Departure release???

I am known to be a fan of the harder edgier music from the band but this song just rules !!
If I was a lady I'd just throw my panties onstage if they performed this live...heck ..I'm a dude and I'd even wear panties and throw them onstage if I could hear this live...lol

I really shouldn't drink my black russians before posting....should I?

Yes, Cain played the "sax" solo on his keytar. He had the goofy perm goin', a horrible muti-colored long jacket and a keytar.

Yet, Randy Jackson far outdid him with the size medium spandex pants, the pink polka dot bass and the sweet fade hairdo.
(Honorable mention goes to Michael Baird with the bright pink baseball hat.)

wait, I have rumblings ( in that part of my brain not used in some time) of some of these either we rehearsed and / or played just once or twice during lap 2 of Vacation's Over.
All my Journey paraphernalia is stored and thus inaccessible,,so I can't find my set lists, yet I seem to recall playing some of these live.
If I recall correctly it was the unenthusiastic response regarding these tunes that convinced the band to not deviate from sacrosanct thirteen.

If He Should Break Your Heart

Postby steve7711 » Sun Jan 14, 2007 4:02 am

If He Should Break Your Heart was played 2 or 3 times during the Arrival Tour. I have a fair audience recording of the Scranton show where Augeri does a good job with it.

Cheers,
