Sly is not a big fan of Weathers....notice he was not in the flashbacks whereas T and Lundgren were .read a recent interview where he was talking about filming IV and said how Lundgren threw a punch that knocked Stallone's chest plate against his heart and halted fiming for a while and weathers was such a mary that Lundgren hit him with one jab and "Carl said something really tough in reply: 'I'm calling my agent.'"

It was right up there with Rocky I and Rocky II. After Rocky V, (which I cared for the least of the series) I was unsure about Rocky Balboa. I had read responses to it here and other places, and they all seemed good, so the wife and I just saw it, and I was happy we did.
Great movie. Everyone should see this one.
I like to sit out on the front porch, where the birds can see me, eating a plate of scrambled eggs, just so they know what I'm capable of.

Is the best rocky movie No But not the worst!
Kinda like Rocky 1 & 2......
Don't know how a 60 yr old can be in that kind of shape....
One thing that's missing no new killer songs aka Eye of the tiger/ Burning heart...

That's another thing I liked about this new movie: the emphasis on Bill Conti's beautiful score in lieu of some cookie cutter cheez-rock tune playing out over the training montage.

And it was very cool hearing "Take Me Back" play over the opening credits following the initial Mason Dixon footage.

Finally got to see Rocky. I must say, I nearly started crying when Rocky was telling Paulie that he still had "something in the basement" and then started breaking down. This is how Rocky V should've been made in my opinion.

I thought the film was put together beautifully and everything you guys said about the movie was definitely true! It was fitting but yet a little sad. Makes you look at life and realize how short life is sometimes.

Still haven't had a chance to see it myself. I babysat the newbie grandson while his mom, dad and big brother went to see it yesterday. They all loved it. I'm sure I'll get to see it before it's out of the theaters. :?

OK, so I finally saw Rocky Balboa tonight. I know, we are a little behind here but it's very rare that we have a night when we don't have a basketball game, basketball practice, volleyball game, volleyball practice or a two hour gymnastics class to get kids to. But, I loved this movie... the best Rocky made!

Positive messages aplenty in the movie.
Very life-affirming.
The fight is a pure knockout.
Just saw it for the 3rd time (at home this time...AR, NealIsGod I'm hoisting this coffee and Jack Daniels to you fellas.).

Seen it, it's a little slow in the beginning but it more than makes up for it at the end. Great ending.

Somewhat agree.
Not as good as 1, better than 2. It's got more life-affirming subject matter than 2 and if helps some baby boomers look a little more optomistically at things, then it did its job.

No, I love #2. When Adriane comes out of her coma and tells him to fight... whew. Love that part.

That's an unbelievable sequence from the word "win (and the dramatic music kicks in as the training starts)" until the run up the Art Museum steps.
I can actually headbut a building to the ground when he's got the 45s on the bar going over his head back, front, back, front going "CREED!!! CREED!!! CCCCRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEDDDDD!"

badass. 8)

I do indeed, but making of, deleted scenes, alt ending, and Rocky Commentary aren't on the boot.

It got me through the long period between theatrical and DVD releases though.
