What Is Your All Time Favorite Journey Song?

Voted Worlds #1 Most Loonatic Fanbase

Rockers:
#1 Escape
#2 Higher Place
#3 Stone In Love
#4 Where Were You
#5 Keep On Runnin

Ballads:
#1 When You Love A Woman
#2 Don't Be Down On Me Baby
#3 It's Just The Rain
#4 I'll Be Alright Without You
#5 Faithfully

I guess I'm like everyone else, these songs fluctuate in ranking, I guess depending on mood or other influences.
Great topic here.
I like to sit out on the front porch, where the birds can see me, eating a plate of scrambled eggs, just so they know what I'm capable of.

My Fav!!

Postby NCscarab » Wed Dec 27, 2006 2:22 am

My favorite Journey song of all time is a song that most people say doesn't even sound like a Journey song at all.I think it is indeed a unique sound for the band and I think that's why I like it so much...anyway...my favorite has to be....
People and Places from Departure...which is also my favorite album

I'd have to rank "Be Good to Yourself" as one of the cheesiest songs Journey ever recorded! Every time I hear that song, I think "What were they thinking"?

John from Boston

BGTY is a great song.

My favorite is "Rubicon".

yep...for some reason i figured YOU dave would like the non hits.. rubicon is a great song now.. back then , to me, it was no more than a filler and a throw away.. separate ways was my favs for years,, not sure now though,,, i love the LIVE version of THE PARTYS OVER with SOLO.. that sucker just cooks.. 7 min long..

Who's Crying Now

Gotta love what every member of the band did with that one.

Plus: Neal's solo. How that guitar gently weeps, is breathtaking.

I actually can't pick a favorite. I have different "moods" where I like the feel and sound of a certain album more than another. When I'm depressed I listen to Raised on Radio. When I feel rebellious I listen to Escape. And based on recent events in my personal life, Trial By Fire means a lot to me. It really depends on how I'm feeling...

Right now it'd have to be If He Should Break Your Heart.

Rockers

Escape
Ask The Lonely
Be Good To Yourself (must have the volume UP for the intro.)
Anytime (I guess that would be a rocker)
Keep On Runnin'

Ballads
Faithfully
Why Can't This Night Go On Forever
Who's Cryin' Now

That is just the tip of the iceberg. Basically, I love all Journey songs. The band rocks big-time. PERIOD!!

Oh Yeah, and Deen Castronovo is the man! He was a great addition to that band!

If I had to pick one, it would probably PARTY'S OVER- over the years that's the one song that gts me jazzed the most when I hear it.
ESCAPE is a VERY close second, though...and JUST THE SAME WAY ain't far behind....
